((Twyla's birthday was yesterday so here's a open starter based a year after she won))

It's been a year..... a year of hell for Twyla. Memories float her mind of her games....of her twin brother who was reaped along side her. She thinks "how is this fair I get to live but my brother died in that stupid games." She feels tears fall down her face as she lays in her own victors village house. Given the fact haymitch her father is just a couple houses down you would like she could find some comfort in that but they haven't really talked in months.

It's her 18th birthday but she doesn't feel like celebrating. She's thinks "what's the point my brother's dead and will forever be 17 years old so I grow older and older" she sighs thinking then gets up then talks to herself "I can't just keep hiding away. If ash was here he would have definitely dragged me out today. So I'm going out today. See some old friends maybe go to the bakery and get flowers for his grave" of course ash was her brothers Nickname his actual name was William but he always smells like smoke and his hair was the color of ash so ash it was plus he liked his Nickname better anyways.

She goes upstairs to her bedroom in the new house which feels empty to her. The only company she has mainly is from her fox spirit who's asleep on her bed. She gives her a little scratch on the head before going to her closet and picking out a light blue knee length dress it's a lightweight fabric and sleeveless so it's prefect since summer is slowly coming. She sighed remembering summer. Summer means July 4. July 4 means reaping day. Which means the games that she has to mentor in.

She starts to zone out when she hears a knock on the door and snaps out of it and quickly puts on the dress then brush her hair out and slip on the closet shoes she could find. Then look in her mirror and whispers to herself "I look put together enough for at least some company" she says that as she hears another knock there's time A bit heavier and she yells "Okay okay. I'm coming hold on" she gives spirit a couple pets then rushes downstairs. Almost Falling down the stairs as the person keeps knocking. Once she finally gets to the door she pulls it open not knowing who to expect and is a bit annoyed by the knocking and answers the door with a bit of a snappy tone "do you not listen even well?"

Thanks honestly I want to try and bake more hopefully to keep my dad from burning down the house. I don't know how good he is at cooking or baking

Do you have any easy baking recipes I can use? I'm trying to learn to bake at least a little bit

I think I have a few! Have you tried to make Pound Cake? The name sounds elaborate, but I promise you it's easier than it sounds!

All you need are eggs, flour, butter, sugar, salt, and a bit of vanilla extract.

Here's the recipe;

1. Grease and flour your baking pan. Shake out any excess flour and set aside.

2. Beat the butter until smooth, then add sugar. Cream until light and fluffy.

3. In a separate bowl, combine eggs, egg yolks, vanilla, and salt. Slowly drizzle egg mixture into your butter mixture with mixer on low speed. Pause to scrape sides and bottom of the bowl, then increase speed and beat for another 1-2 minutes.

4. Reduce speed to low and gradually add flour. Scrape and stir again on medium speed until well-combined, then beat for another minute. You should have a completely smooth, uniform batter. Pour batter into prepared pan, smoothing the top.

5. Bake in 350F oven for an hour and ten to an hour and fifteen minutes. Test with a wooden skewer for doneness.

6. Cool for 20 minutes, then run a knife around the sides and center of the pan before carefully inverting onto a cooling rack. Allow to cool completely before serving.

Twyla followed her out to the balcony and takes a deep breath "Yeah I guess you're right about the color thing. I just thought it would be pretty." She admits in a way saying it was actually her idea. She stands on the balcony for a while just enjoying the cool air against her skin kinda reminding her of district 12 out in the woods in her favorite tree on her winters day. She looks over snapping back to reality and the notices cashmere's pocket. She notices the smallest things. "that much come in handy. Your stylist seems smart I guess."

She'll give it to cashmere's stylist the hidden pocket has smart. She carefully takes the cigarette. she's not sure if it's smart to with her throat still healing but she shrugs then sighs "Yeah I normally don't have trouble talking to people but the capitol people are..." she thinks for a minute "interesting to put it nicely" she tries to make it sound like joke but she feels it fell flat "true I should try to make my own impact. Being compared to my dad is really getting on my nerves. I just need to figure out how exactly I can not be seem as haymitch's daughter" she looks at cashmere "I guess you how that feels. I mean with your brother winning a year before you. Of course yours and gloss's victory is different. but still How did you get what of his shadow?" She asked thinking maybe cashmere had some pointers plus she thinks cashmere may give good advice.

" I don't like the taste of it. Well at least the white liquor from home" she admits. Of course she's only even tried to stuff haymitch kept back at home in district 12 . So maybe the capitol stuff would be different but she isn't exactly sure about that. Than she nodded that's fair you're probably cold. In it? Plus everyone is basically staring at you" She says not being as clueless as she seems at least not about the stares cashmere has been getting all night. She thinks for a minute then picks up a royal purple suit jacket that was on a chair beside her and offers it to cashmere "it may look strange. It's my dad's or mentor's I'm not exactly sure what to call him" she admits then she explains "he gave to me earlier before we walked into the party I'm not exactly sure why."

She sighed a bit thinking about what cashmere just say then she spoke "Oh the other victors think the color idea is ridiculous?" She wouldn't admit it but the idea for the Victors to be in different shades of purple or blue was hers. she mentioned it to finnick in passing when she met him briefly on her victory tour when she was in district 4 but she never thought finnick even paid any idea to it or would even bring it up to anyone in the capitol. "I don't mind it taking attention away from me honestly" . She looks over to the balcony. "I guess some fresh air would be more than nice. The cold air would be nice honestly. I like the cold anyways" she admits. She's loved the cold since she was a child before ever going into the games.

Twyla lays in her hospital bed she doesn't say much it any she just forces her mind wrapping jewelry wire around different beads. She has a prisoner of the capitol after day 2 of the 75th games. She was rescued a couple days, week , a couple weeks ago she doesn't know time seems the slip her mind. She starts trying to understand everything but Everything just seems wrong nothing makes sense to her. "How could district 12 be gone? How did I get here? How long was I been in this room? Who survived the games? Cashmere? gloss? Johanna? finnick? Did anyone survive the games? Is my dad alive was he taken by the capitol too? Is katniss alive?" Questions float her mind and she becomes overwhelmed then starts quietly counting the beads on the neckline she's making trying to force her mind again on something she can understand "1...2...3..* she quickly looks up hearing footsteps heading towards the door if it can really be called that. Footsteps she knows but she can't place them. She holds her head wanting to scream but doesn't because that wouldn't get her out of this place any faster. She looks up when she sees the person walk in
