I really don't agree with the trans man Naoto ideas. I think they kind of miss the point of her arc that's already there: She's dealing with misogyny in her workplace, which gets to the point where she decides to disguise herself as a man in a desperate bid for acceptance. It's thanks to the help of the Investigation Team that she starts accepting the idea of working as a female detective among men. The issue is such that it could easily be compared to Mulan, which is famous for something similar with its titular character.
...Now trans woman Naoto, I think I can get behind, because that adds to her arc, rather than detract from it. Picture this: it could be the tale of a trans girl pushed into detransitioning because of the chauvinistic assholes she's surrounded by. Only to gain the confidence to accept her transfemininity.
I might get flack for this, but I needed to point out something that I think is missed among the fandom.
