The archivist was on a mission there was a giant dog attacking people in a graveyard. She waited for a couple hours then saw it coming at her. She knelt down and held out a hand, ' it's okay boy. I ain't here to hurt ya...' the dog growled hunched down. She stayed still, ' lemme see what's got you riled up boy...'

The dog came over and touched her hand. She watched in silence and then nodded. She gave him a pained smile, ' he's not coming back sweetie... But if ya want you can come home with me. We will love you and you'll be safe. No one will ever hurt you again.' the dog whined at her.

' I know you were doing your job... You did good.' she started tearing up and held her arms out, ' my name is cthylla you'll hear me called arch a lot but I will love you forever.' the dog came closer sniffing her and then leaned on her. She wrapped her arms around him brushing the black fur, ' let's go home d'artagnan.'

Fujiko laughed and motioned to the guys behind her, " these are my friends from back home, daisuke jigen, arsene lupin and goemon ishikawa."

Marie laughed biting her lip and twisting her hands a sign fujiko would come to know very well as nerves, " Pleasure to meet you all. I know we're all different houses but I hope we can be friends!" Fujiko held a hand to her chest, " of course we can! God you're adorable!" Marie looked down feeling her cheeks turn red muttering in broken English, " you're the adorable one..."

Crimes against the princess

It was a nice day at least in her opinion, she wore a simple sweater styled dress with brown ankle boots. Her favorite pistol hidden in her holster against her thigh as she sipped her coffee waiting for an old friend so they could catch up and he, as usual, was late. She moved her spoon looking at her phone chuckling a bit to herself. Red lips turning up into a soft smile, he was the only one to ever get the "demon princess of innsmouth" to ever look soft. She could almost hear him say, ' see that's the perfect look for you princess. It brings out your eyes so beautifully.’ she shook her head knowing she would always tell him, ' only you get this Mon petit voleur. You're the only one who will ever see me as soft everyone else gets the cold hearted woman who goes after her passions and waits for the man whose always late.'

That was when she heard the shouting. She walked over recognizing a voice. That was when she saw lupin, ' hey Lup---’ she froze seeing the gun hit his face and she saw red. She pulled her P238 out, her smile gone as she shot the man twice in the shoulder walking past lupin snarling at the man, ' oh my friend you messed up badly…' he scoffed, ’ I ain't scared of you.' the Raven haired woman grinned, ’ you should be… cause you touched what's mine…' she pointed her gun shaking then put it away, ’ run…' she walked to lupin and got him up and to her car. She grabbed her hanker chief and dabbed his head waiting for him to wake up. 

Her look of concern as she parked her car being the first thing lupin saw when he stirred. She got him to her vacation home a couple men walking to her car. He finally got to see the woman at work, ' get him inside, and call the doctor .' her voice authoritative and not the tone she ever took around the thief. Her look of concern replaced with a blank expression but her eyes were holding back the dam of tears that threatened to fall.

What's your relationship with your family? Honor among thieves au

The female rubbed her fingers together as if thoughtfully contemplating the question asked of her. Family. She remembered hearing growing up that family didn't end with blood it just started there. She took a deep breath and nodded.

' Well I've got a decent relationship with them, though I avoid the family gatherings quiet often it's better for all involved that way. I have my father, three half brothers, a sister and step mom.' she fixed the patterning of her skirt grabbing her glass of some Amber drink. ' my sister and myself speak on the regular and usual meet up for drinks. My brothers and me well... I talk on the odd occasion usually when something in the family business occurs. Dad and me hardly talk... Stopped really talking after he married my step mom. Technically she was his first wife which is why my older brothers are my half brothers. My dad fell in love with my mom while he was married to her, he didn't believe in cheating so he divorced my step mom married my mom and that's where me and Seirin come in... Then mom died when we were 7... He remarried her 3 years later... I understand why he did it but....'

She shook her head, ' listen close kid... Never fall in love, never do it. Don't let people in and be able to rely on yourself you'll have people tell you that you can rely on them but if you're in my line of work it just ends up bad. You end up breaking and you can't always be put back together. That's my experience at least. Feel free to ignore my advice, I'm sure it's just my luck. Just find your happiness and keep it close.'

She pulled out a cigarette, ' Cause someone will try to steal it away.'
