Duke is half-Japanese. And he goes to Obon every year. For some reason Hanabi Ondo always makes him sad and he doesn’t remember why.

Holloway plays the song Closing Time by Semisonic when the diner closes. Released 1998 so a little out of her time frame but shhhh it’s fine. Ignore that fact.

Holly-May is Holloway’s original name. She was born on Halloween.

Holloway keeps all the gifts Duke has given her. Sometimes after he’s forgotten, he gets her the same exact thing. She still treasures every one of them. He gave her the moon earrings she has in Killer Track. Holloway, in return, sneaks some of his dad’s old things into his basement for him to suddenly rediscover.

In a timeline where Holloway and Duke rescue the Yellow Jacket kids, they all come work at Miss Retro’s with Brenda.

Duke helps Brenda on her college applications. Holloway is… less helpful. She never went to college and is generally distrustful of the any systems. But she’s very supportive and brings them snacks while they work.

Pulp is a little harder. I have a doc for Holloway but I don’t write down most of my pulp thoughts.

I’ve been toying with the idea of Sia being a generation above the other Travelers/Searchers/denizens of the Blazing World/whatever group name they have. Just jumping off of her time travel in Brick Satellite and how she lost time with her friends. I like the idea that she’s done that before. She puts the mission over her own well-being. She would’ve worked with Chazira and then had some vision that told her she needed to protect Margaret in the future. Probably going to get disproved in The Traveler’s Vow but oh well.

More on the silly side. But Rose is the key because her power is the ability to use the printing press plate. Mostly based on Samuel failing with it during his fight with Kal. She’s just going to knock Itzal unconscious and save everyone.

Addison and her crew hire random Earth crew members to help out. Addison questions them about how the world works, and the new people kinda just nod along and think she’s a little weird, but pays really well. (Transformed gold)

As children, all people from the Blazing World have a little bracelet to signal what magic ways they have. With colored beads the signify each one. As adults, they usually wear only a single gem, representative of the way their strongest in.

Illusion: red

Healing: violet

Movement: green

Transformation: yellow
