Life is not something that happens to you. It is something you create and you are always 100% effective in what you get. You may think “well I don’t want all the fucked up things in my life” consciously you don’t but your thoughts keep telling your subconscious that it is what you want. every time you tell yourself “ I can’t” or “this is too hard” your subconscious listens to that and makes it happen. You don’t have to focus on repelling the negative thoughts though only focus on the positive. If you think positive only 51% of the time you will be in a positive state of growth.

Two icons were lost this week to suicide, but their contributions to the world will never be forgotten. Kate Spade made the fashionably unattainable attainable and @anthonybourdain’s exploration of culture through food opened our eyes to the world. Both will be sorely missed.
Remember, no matter what you are going through, you don’t have to go through it alone. There are resources available to help you.

the missing friendship
today I met an amazing person we clicked well and then I realized that although we are “ friends” on Facebook that amazing synergy that I felt today as we worked together will not be a normal everyday thing. I am really sad now as I think about it. sad day sad day. I went from feeling amazing to realizing that I may never get that again in that way. I guess I know what it is like to be a drug addict now but from the rush, that I felt from the synergistic relationship I had working with this person. I am fuckin rekt

the day i died
It is said that all events that will shape who you are as a person happen to you between birth and somewhere between 5 and 8. Let me tell you about the day that shifted me from the real me the person who was loving and innocent and full of hope to the person I was for 29 years after. I was born in 1983 and for the first few years of my life, nothing seems to be wrong ever I would play and be happy and do the things typical of a small male child. that was, until the age of 5 when I had to learn the alphabet. Back in that time, the way children were to learn the alphabet would be the use of cartoon flashcards. one day while learning through the use of these cards I had made a mistake with two cards. this would cause the man who at the time was my stepfather to hit me hard enough to leave a mark as I was called stupid. and that was the day the innocent loving me died.

when your outlook changes
I came from a place of so much self hate that spilled into other aspects of my life just a few weeks ago that after going to the personal development course I took I am like a whole new person. the funny thing is that I am not a new person this is just the real me finally free of the burden of not being who and what I truly wanted to be.

I let my horse die fast. why so I can make stew thats why
A comprehensive guide to caring for your ugly lil pixel horse
The horse can be found if you click on the little horse icon in the bottom left corner.
The horse poops all the time. The poop releases a deadly, airborne toxic that will kill your horse within fifteen seconds, unless the poop is removed.
If the horse poops twice within a short span of time, the poop will release twice as much toxin, killing the horse twice as fast.
You remove the poop by clicking on it.
If you don’t remove the poop and the horse dies, you can hatch a new one. Presumably from an egg.
No, you can’t change its name.
Clicking on the horse itself will make a small heart pop up and then drift upwards. The heart is completely useless. It will not save your horse from the poop toxin.
Clicking anywhere else will do absolutely nothing.
Going to a different part of Tumblr - anywhere that’s not your dash - will pause the horse.
Shutting down your computer will pause the horse.
Switching tabs to another site, like Facebook or Google, will pause the horse.
Minimizing the horse window will not pause the horse.
The horse will just keep pooping.
The horse will die from the poop toxin.
That’s how I killed my first horse, True.
Now I’m stuck with Earl of Aegae.
Whom I don’t like.
Despite that, he’s over 100 days old.
So I know what I’m doing.
Trust me.

rip mike hall
the feeling of being punched in the gut is how I would describe my receiving the news of cyclist mike halls passing. Not because I knew mike personally, but because as a cyclist I realize how many times that could have been me.
my deepest condolences go out to mike’s family and personal friends.
Mike may you rest in peace, thank you for all that you have done for the cycling community
