Woah! Only two days and already diving into the art archives once again. Another fancy, yet chibified Leo is here...

So context isn't too heavy for this one! Basically, at the time on Twitter, Larae was just doing a tonne of these random chibi sketches of folks' sonas. I should emphasise by tonne, I legit mean like literally hundreds of these.

I don't think any furs at the time were immune to getting one, and honestly, I think it still was a tremendously sick thing they did. It's a lot of work to just do random doodles for random folks for the sake of it, and it deserves commendation for it. uUwUu

Honestly with what they're doing seems really interesting, seems like a visual novel of sorts with all sorts of furry characters. All got neat designs and has some fun games going on in it, I think it's worth giving a check out. ^^w^^

So the art pieces themselves! Well, it was another case of a surprise gift art, where during one day on the F_IRL Discord, they were doing a bunch of random gift sketches for folks around on the server.

I was completely unaware of it until suddenly I was pinged and was just blown away by the surprise. Gift art wasn't common for me, and even with the ones I got, I never got a half-body coloured one like this. I was legit so grateful for it (I still feel this way with even gifts I get nowadays, hehe, it's a fun surprise.) and I just couldn't help thank Joseph enough for it! uUwUu

But wait!!! Why are there two colour palette versions of Leo here?!?

Well easy answer for this, before I had art that locked me into the colour scheme of Leo, I had only colourless lineart for folks to go by that I shared around. So I could only assume that Joseph just went with a colour palette that felt fitting for a lot of spiders at the time (On top of the fact spidersonas were definitely way more rare than they are now, lol.).

I brought up my thoughts on what I imagined the colour would be like if I actually got a ref, showing the little pixel head of Leo that was done by Swirlstar. I still remained very satisfied with what I got from Joseph, and very grateful for them doing it...

...They then proceeded to surprise me with the second colour palette art piece. XXD

In the end, this still felt like it contributed to Leo's eventual final design. ::B

Side note: I do feel like I need to do more fancy-suited Leo. It was admittedly meant to be his original default look, but he has slowly shifted to the bartending look he has nowadays.

I wouldn't mind maybe getting something with his old look, I still imagine he likes to fancy up for special occasions...But still ends up being a goof and messing about, despite the outfit portraying his fancy look. ::P
