Rewatching Anne with an e and obsessed with how Anne, who’s usually always using big words and writing super fancy and eloquently, wrote a very simple note to Gilbert that was basically like “I was confused now I’m not. Love ya and can I have my pen?” Whereas as Gilbert who was never as creative with words wrote straight POETRY like Asdfghhkk

I find it amusing that Gilbert wrote a whole flowery love letter that included the words “You, and you alone, are the keeper of the key to my heart,” while overdramatic, obsessed with romance, aspiring writer Anne wrote “I love you.”

I love that in the ten years I've been on tumblr, tumblr users' attitude towards tumblr has come full circle, now we're back where we started at "tumblr is our beloved home, no other social media can compare, no other website has what we have, do not trust other websites, do not tell the outsiders about us", only this time we're like. Hear me out. I think that Anne Shirley Cuthbert and Wednesday Addams would be really good friends. Because people who love all things strange and bizarre can really get along with cheerful, energetic people in my experience. One of my closest friends from high school was a basketball player and I hid during pep rallies.

Think about it. The Addams Family doesn’t hate “normal” people, the issue is that their neighbors are so hung up on them being weird that they completely miss how friendly the family’s being.

Anne is not judgy and she’s curious about everything, so she’d be fascinated by the Addams. And probably be like, “why yes Wednesday, I’d love to know more about your pet octopus. Tell me why’d you choose the name Aristotle?” I’m imagining those two strolling through a graveyard and Wednesday nodding along as Anne makes up stories and describes which headstones are “romantical.”
