     Just coming back from her outfit change, Ayla felt more comfortable than ever. Sure, the green gown was impeccable and it matched with Mari’s, also fitting her body flawlessly. However, was it easy to move in? Hardly. Was it warm? Oh absolutely not. The suit was both of those and yet the corset hugged her body just like the dress had, at least in the most important place, right? She grabbed a champagne flute on her way back to the food stands, coming up next to a man that wore a blazer almost the same color as her own, just more detailed in texture and shades. ❛ Only try those if you’re carrying gum, especially if you’re trying to get kissed at midnight, ❜ she warned him, pointing at a slider right in front of him. ❛ Amazing amount of garlic but also lethal from a breath perspective. ❜

Daughter of Chris and Dennis but birthed by their close friend Tanya who agreed to be surrogate, Ayla feels like she had a fairly normal upbringing, whatever that means. Dennis is a King’s Head Harbor native who met his future husband at springbreak in Miami in 1988. Chris was friends with Tanya’s late brother, meeting in Middle School and grew closer when her brother died in 1990. They opened up Wedding Belles together after same-sex marriage was legalized in Rhode Island in 2013. Ayla’s fathers got married the next year, with herself and auntie Tanya as groomsmaids.

Ayla was bullied and left out in Middle School but it took a turn in High School where she was rather popular when she embraced her outgoing and goofy nature. Some people enjoy her company, some might find her too much but she likes the phrase “then find less” and uses it when she gets a chance.

Has never really known what to do with her life, having a million different ideas and paths she possibly could to take. After High School she simply chose the first college acceptance she got and moved to Miami to attend FIU, studying nursing for only a few months before dropping out to work odd jobs, including stripper, bartender, waitress and barista for a little over a year.

She came back to to KHH in early 2014 when Chris and Tanya announced the opening of their bridal shop and to help out with the ongoing planning for her fathers’ wedding. Later the same year she started studying at Kingston Community College, graduating in 2016 with an Associates degree in Marketing that she’s used a little over the past few years to help spread the word about Wedding Belles meanwhile first working at Keysmash and then Buckingham Phallus.

Early in 2018 she left KHH again, this time to travel the states with a friend and her van. It was fun for months, especially when they started fooling around, but when Ayla felt it got too serious she freaked out and bought a ticket home from San Francisco, coming home in time for Christmas the same year.

She quickly got her job back at Buckingham Phallus but quit 9 months later for a waitress job at Seaside Bistro where she’s stayed, so far. At times she also helps out at Wedding Belles.

However, Ayla has plans. Overwhelmingly many plans. A part of her wants to travel the world, like many others, but she realizes the financial part is a problem. She still thinks about going back to nursing school but design, journalism and forensics are also interesting to her, as are many other things. Meanwhile in the back of her mind she remembers the good money she made as a stripper in Miami. There are too many options and possibilities and Ayla has a hard time choosing which path to take so while standing at the crossroad, she just goes with the flow despite sometimes being stressed by the years that keep passing by.

Lives with ADHD (diagnosed at 16) and GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder, diagnosed at 18). Medicated for the latter but only took ADHD medication when she was studying at Kingston Community.

Has in the past fallen in love rather easily, resulting in her getting hurt, which is why she often pulls away when she feels herself slipping. Sometimes on purpose, sometimes because she simply panics and goes yeet. She still dates for fun but keeps her emotions at bay, safe behind a little wall (or so she thinks).
