Do you have the layout you want in mind? If you do, I recomend contacting a construction company, they already employ (or contract) the people necessary.

If you don’t, maybe talk with an architect or civil engineer first. And after the draw up the design you want, they will probably get you the contact info of the people they usually work with.

Also, I don’t know the laws where you live, but, if you have to get some permits, these professionals know how to go about that.

I need to get a bathroom built and I don't actually know how to do that. Like to I go to a plumbing store? Do they have tilers? Builders? What's the procedure here?

Honestly? If I didn't know the story for the lettering I would just think this was some pretty good cursive, if a bit extra on one or two letters!! 

I'm nearing my 30s and I still write like that on ocasion, frills and all! 

But then again in my school we did learn cursive first (and they still do that! just this weekend I helped my little cousin pratice their lettering). I think most of Brasil still does actually... Though I admit I don't know about other countries ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Learning a language that doesn't use the same writing system as your native one is so fun because they change the font and you're doomed

Yes! That’s the one! At first I thought they were suihua and baxia, but these two don’t make *any* sense as a set. And baxia is a saber, not a flamberge! XXC and SL fit together much better!!! 

Honestly, what really tripped me up was seeing what looks like a flamberge sword on a chinese novel! Some research made me aware of kung fu snake weapons, but, seeing as MDZS is the first xianxia (first chinese really) novel I’ve picked up, I don’t know enough about the tropes to know if this type of kung fu relates to cultivation at all.

Hi! Have you seen the mdzs covers for the chinese version? The ones with the line art/doodles of the weapons? I'm pretty new to the novel so I only recognize 3 of the sets, wwx's sword and dizi, lwj's sword and guqin and jc's sword and whip. But I an curious about which ones the drawing with 2 swords represent.

honestly i'm not really sure who they're meant to belong to! i don't remember any mdzs characters with two swords, so maybe it could be xiao xingchen and song lan? i'm not sure if the writing says anything about it?

if any of my followers have an idea please chime in!

Thanks so much for answering!!!! With what you said and after reading the wiki, I think I might just wait for them to realease the tpbs (my prefered format) for this event and read through everything! If I don’t just read the wiki and skip straight to the future state storylines I’m interested in XD

One thing though, if I take a crack at it, do you think I should at least read the wikis on Dark Nights: Metal and Batman/Superman? I probably won’t read the actual comics unless it’s really really necessary. Batman and Superman are just not my favourites!

Anyways, I’ll admit I’m still a bit confused over this and Future State, but this helped :D

Also, do you think we will get a Red Hood title after the future state event? When I looked it up, the comic with him as the main was under the dark detective title

Hi! I'm behind in my DC reading by something like 6 to 8 months and very confused by whats happening now. Do you think there are any key issues that are needed to understand what is happening in Dark Nights: Death Metal? I was following the Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Red Hood and Batgirl storylines.

I think you could probably get by with just the core issues, but it’s kinda become a talking point at my local comic shop how kinda nothing happens in the main series (comparatively) but everything is happening in the one shot side issues, it’s kinda hard to explain but a lot of times they’re compilation comics and one story in it is probably very important to the series, it’s like small pearls of very important moments in a larger unimportant comic (the Lobo one is a great example of that, it’s all goofy stories and then the last mini-story is like directly a part of the main series lol) , I hate to say it but you might have to read all the one shots to have the most satisfactory experience with it but you could get by with the main series and maybe reading some of the wiki lol

a selkie story

Today I was thinking about selkies, because my other options were thinking about the upcoming 4 years of clusterfuck or thinking about Westworld, and I already thought about Westworld a lot this week. So: selkies.

I love the idea of selkie stories and all variations thereof, because shapechangers and doomed love stories are both Tropes I Am Into. But today I was thinking about how the selkie stories we hear are, generally, only the ones that ended badly.

So I would like a selkie story that ends happily ever after, I think. One where a guy who is basically decent and good-hearted falls asleep on the beach, because he was allowing himself one evening of self-pity and staring moodily at a bonfire, before he puts on his big-boy pants and deals with being dumped like an adult. 

And he wakes up in the morning, sand in every crevice, vaguely embarrassed with himself because he’s pretty sure at some point last night he was drunk enough to yell at the ocean, and there’s a girl sitting on the big boulder at the edge of the water. Well. not a girl. A grown-up-type-person, same as him.

“Um.” says Our Hero, not sure of how to proceed. Maybe she was here to yell at the ocean about being dumped, too. He doesn’t remember a lot of last night. “Hi?”

This is when he noticed that she isn’t wearing clothes, as such, so much as a fur… thing, sort of wrapped around her. And her long hair is wet. And her eyes are huge and dark. And she’s really very pretty.

“Well?” she says. “You called, and I came. I suppose you’re worth a try. Where are we going?”
