is it safe to confess find wrecker's chip removal scene a little bit funny. even though its scary and tense (and a great scene) i cant help but be amused at rex and hunter accidentally and inadvertently making it worse just by talking. wrecker's fighting for his life against the chip, trying to stop it taking over his mind, and those two are LITERALLY RIGHT NEXT TO HIM basically reading off a list of trigger words. "jedi" "general" "padawan" rex even outright says "order 66" like captain what are you DOING

phee genoa is really so character. her entrance is her saying "better late than dead, i always say." right after that she insults every member of the batch except for tech, who she immediately tries to flirt with. she's a pirate, no actually she's a liberator of ancient wonders. she doesn't steal in your typical pirate way instead she steals to help refugees remember their homes. she calls freefalling into a planet's atmosphere a "stealth entrance." a solid 3/4 of what we see her say and do in the show is probably a front until we get to pabu. she regularly gets in arguments with her droid named mel, who's been completely destroyed at least once. she nearly gets all of the main characters killed by a mountain creature. omega thinks she's the coolest person ever and hunter is going to rip his hair out over this fact. lyana told shep that she wants to be a liberator of ancient wonders just like auntie phee and shep nearly had a heart attack. it is such a crime we didn't see more of her yet at the same time if we get more canon phee content they'll probably mess everything up

hate exercising and realizing i've let go of a lot of anxiety and anger because i've overturned my fight-or-flight response.

hate eating right and eating enough and eating 3 times a day and realizing i'm less anxious and i have more energy

hate journaling in my stupid notebook with my stupid bic ballpoint and realizing that i've actually started healing about something once i'm able to externalize it

hate forgiving myself hate complimenting myself more often hate treating myself with kindness hate taking a gratitude inventory hate having patience hate talking to myself gently

hate turning my little face up to the sun and taking deep breaths and looking at nature and grounding myself and realizing that i feel less burdened and more hopeful, more actually-here, that i am able to see the good sides of myself more clearly, that i am able to see not only how far i have to grow - but also how much growth i have already done & how much of my life i truly fill with light and laughter and love

there was backlash from homeschooling "parents rights" advocates in my area before because of a daycare teaching kids about consent...all they learned is that you don't have to accept unwanted physical intimacy. one scenario that happened is a parent told her toddler boy to kiss a toddler girl in class. toddler boy comes back and says that toddler girl didn't want a kiss. it turns out the kids were taught that you don't touch someone if they say "no". parents thought this was ridiculous. I felt crazy hearing them talk about it, why in the world would you be upset by kids respecting each others boundaries, and why are you asking your toddlers to kiss each other in the first place as if they're toys and not human beings?
