In my heart of hearts, I believe that the little subtle bat-ears headband of Stephbin's costume was the idea of Stephanie Sews-Little-Bats-Onto-Her-Clothes Brown. But it's way funnier to imagine Bruce and Alfred looking down at their new Robin costume design solemnly. Thinking about it for a moment. Adding a black or green bat-ear headband. Thinking about it for a moment more, and then Alfred suggests "I believe red might be more appropriate, sir." And then Bruce looks down at it again, imagines red. And smiles just the faintest bit. "Hrm. Yes." And that's how Stephbin got devil horns.

my favourite thing about slay the princess is that you’re canonically some giant, bird-like monstrosity, like an actual abomination perfectly suited for cosmic horror, and yet the princess is so good at making you feel small and pathetic that you regularly get your ass kicked, back broken, heart stabbed, molecules and atoms ripped apart, etc. like imagine if an eldritch beast was a loser. and believed it was handsome. and liked to preen. and also had no idea how enormous or terrifying it was, like a dire wolf that thinks it’s a lap dog. that’s it, that’s the game

"you don't owe anyone anything" You are a tar pit. Speak for yourself. I personally owe the cafe employees my dishes put away and my friends a listening ear and small scared insects a cup and a gentle trip outside. Hyperindividualism is a rancid infection borne of capitalism and willfully misinterpreted therapyspeak and I will defy it by continuing to be kind regardless of whether or not it benefits me personally

Where tf did the "Cass uses ASL!" thing come from??
like where did y’all even get that from?? be so serious rnn
cass cain does NOT canonically use asl she never has. not once. not in any main comic. not in side content not even in the weird 00s one-shots that everyone forgot existed. she points, she mimics, she punches the air, she points at food or acts something out, pretending to punch someone and stopping right before you hit them isn’t “signing” either (That’s literally how she first communicated with Bruce.) that’s not signing that’s “i have no words and too many feelings” communication. a universal language, like- cass wasn’t just nonverbal she was literally raised without language. no talking/no reading/no writing just Fists/movements/survival
she learned to read your intent by watching how you breathe she could watch a fight and know your childhood trauma she could look at you and know if you were bluffing or dying
but say a sentence to her?? she’s like "???" so when she starts learning english, it’s hard brain rewiring hard like “i am losing my ability to fight because now i understand nouns” hard.
nd that’s IMPORTANT because it means learning ANY language—spoken or signed—is hard for her.
asl is still a language. it’s not “easy mode” for nonverbal people. it’s got grammar - structure - syntax. cass ain’t fluent in thagt, cass is fluent in pain and silence and movement
Sooo again, why do u ppl keep saying she speaks/uses asl?? idk, fanon, ao3 fics, vibes, headcanons, someone drew it once and it spiraled
but it’s not canon. and lowkey it kind of erases what makes her so special?? cass’s whole thing is that she doesn’t NEED a full language to speak bru she moves, and that’s the message.
she’s not mute, not even an elective one😭😭😭 She doen't have any physical or neurological condition that prevents her from speaking too-
cass girlboss cain does NOT use asl, she wasn’t raised with ANY language. she speaks through motion AAAND learned ENGLISH eventually she’s no less 4 that, but more

Ok, to calm myself down, I want to post on how a twist in Tenji could make him actually the best thing to happen to Shiva in a while.
I want Shiva to be the mom.
I don't want the kid to be biologically hers.
I know everyone's saying he's Carolyn's, I doubt that. The time line feels funny on that. I'm hoping this is, instead, a call back to the O-Sensei. The O-Sensei who took in Ben and Rich, calling them his sons. Them refering to him as a father. No blood, because family means so much more than blood.
Like Shiva. His goddaughter. Again, family is not blood.
Like the BatFam and/or the Batgirls. Blood is not family.
Cass would not see a difference between a biological kid and an adopted kid. She'd see a brother Shiva never told her about.
And for Shiva? Shiva gets connected to the O-Sensei. His influence showing on her that she was in part helping with this child enough to be called mom. Intentionally or not, that doesn't matter. Her and her friend, raising a kid. Who's is the kid? Idk. I haven't seen any Ben fans talk about this yet sadly, I'd be interested in their take. But this would keep the plot points every Tenji fan is excited for and lets Shiva ACTUALLY get something out of this (and something big at that,) all while not including some silly fake out.

I’ll never get over the amalgamates getting to go back home to their families in True Pacifist. I’m so, so used to stories that go, “this person is too broken, physically or mentally or both, to ever be put back together. they’re not the way they once were, so they’re good as dead. killing them is the only act of mercy.“
I’m so glad Undertale didn’t do that.
The True Lab intentionally plays on horror tropes. Phantasmal pursuers whose ability to appear and disappear defy logical attempts at evasion. Mutated, undead shambling creatures whose original selves are utterly destroyed.
But…like the rest of Undertale’s relationship to RPG tropes…subversion occurs.
It becomes increasingly clear that the amalgamates aren’t evil ghosts or mindless zombies. They’re victims of medical malpractice who miss their families. And when we find them returned to their families…they’re happy. Their families are happy. Things are different now, yea. It’s pretty weird for everyone. The new situation will take some time getting used to. But… it’s mostly good.
