I’ve been on tumblr for ages but lately I’ve started to seriously consider deleting it because the anti-transmasc stuff on here has gotten so bad. Every day I’m blocking someone else for putting some new derisive post on my dash. Even when people are making some points I may agree with, it’s exhausting when it’s delivered with so much venom and that is literally all the posts I see that even reference trans men. People on tumblr don’t do positivity or support posts anymore or even just casually consider us as part of one community, it’s just endless generalized criticism. And when you search “transmasc” or similar on someone’s blog and find absolutely nothing but hundreds of critical posts… it starts to feel like they were just looking for an excuse to be an asshole. Now that people are talking about [insert topic of the day here], they finally have a reason to talk about how much they can’t stand trans men existing near them and hide it under a thin veil of righteousness.

I’m very grateful for the few people on here like you who actually talk about us in a positive way and consider our perspectives valuable. It is seriously a breath of fresh air. Thankfully every other trans community I’m a part of is much more normal about this stuff too, but tumblr is my primary social media platform so I still end up getting worn down by every hot new post talking about how annoying we are >_>

You should do whatever is best for you. If you feel like deleting your Tumblr would be of use to you, I'd go for it.

I can definetly see how you'd get worn down over time. Your mental health is important, do whatever is healthiest for you.
