The whole “they voted for it” rhetoric in regard to the low quality of life in red states (specifically in the south) makes me want to start killing and maiming. Frothing at the mouth and clawing. Hey everyone! Today is my college graduation (yay)!!! I’m getting my degree in Elementary Education, and I’ll be teaching in a low-income public school district in the fall. The district is over 80% Black and Latine, and 70% of students have a household income below the federal poverty line.

As I’m sure you all know, funds for classroom supplies are unfortunately very limited, especially now with our COVID emergency funding expiring and incoming cuts from the Trump administration.
