Yo bucci gang :) This year has been a big struggle for me mentally, I've completely lost motivation especially in academics. I want next year to be a good year for me, and I want to be able to have motivation and get good grades. Instead of not studying at all as per usual, I want to be able to study for hours (with breaks of course). I also get distracted a lot in class and can't focus. Any tips?
Tumblr media
Mista says:
Tumblr media
"you should make sure that this goals are realistic. If too unrealistic, you will lose your motivation quickly! And remember, take it one step at a time. Targeting system works bwst when you give yourself the satisfaction of achieving your goals by rewarding yourself. Even if you may not have achieve a goal, reward yourself for any progress and improvement, no matter how small! You can do this, I got your back! "
Narancia says:
Tumblr media
"you can find a whole ton of tips and recommended methods to help you in studying. You can also explore online apps/sites that can help with your learning so go look around! Try lookin up on study blogs, or like videos and stuff, you know. They usually share tips there and can even motivate you! I definitely did not get this tip from fugo"
Giorno says:
Tumblr media
"a good environment puts your mind in a good place to study and absorb your info. personally, I prefer to work with some greenery on the side. it helps me feel a little better with the presence of natural life. you should definitely keep your workspace neat and organised too, a messy space holds too much distractions."
Fugo says:
Tumblr media
"I apologise if I sound too harsh, but do understand that paying attention in class is one of, if not the most, important thing to do. put away anything that can be distracting and listen to the lesson! It may be difficult but push yourself to try and do it. I understand that you particularly have trouble with this. If you need to, you can always talk to your teachers about your difficulty in focusing in class. they can also help you catch up on anything you missed. I hope that things will get better and I wish you all the best in your studies, alright? "
Bruno says:
Tumblr media
"there are many methods different people use to study, such as note-taking, auditory learning, or using flashcards. different methods work for different people, so try around to find a method that suits you. It can take time but it’ll help a lot once you've figured it out. It may be tough and time-consuming, but I believe in you! You'll do great, we have your back :) "
Abbacchio says:
Tumblr media
"Yeah, I know. Real basic, isn't it? But no seriously, note-taking is one the key things to do if you want to do well. It's literally the very thing that keeps you up with the information and content that will be tested in exams. Here's a tip I heard before: have 2 notebooks for your classes. one for taking down notes during the lesson (no fancy deco or anything, just notes) and another one with the same notes, but tidied up for yourself to review. it makes sure that you’re able to get down all the info in class without spending too much time making the notes look nice. it also gives you a chance to review your notes again when tidying your notes on your second notebook. Overall, don't underestimate note-taking alright? "
Trish says:
Tumblr media
"It's best for you if you do it by the end of each day but if your schedule is too packed, you can always go for a weekly review instead of daily. just make sure that you dont drag it till right before your tests. this can be difficult to keep up and easy to forget as you get busier. so make it a routine, set reminders for yourself to do it yea? Don't give up, it can get tough at times but you can pull through it! "
And yeah! These are all the tips from the gang. There are more, of course, and you can always look them up like Narancia said. in the end, I think that it all comes down to your attitude. realistically speaking, these tips arent going to last all the way through and you will lose motivation from time to time. but thats when we need to learn to pick ourselves up after we fall each time! like every other year, there’s gonna be ups and downs but always remember that it’s not the end if you fail. you’ll pick yourself up and we’ll be here with you all the way through! you’ll do great, anon 🌟

on keeping a clean room when your mental health isn't great, or when you don't have the same amount of time and money as Marie Kondo
Messy rooms can actually be a detriment to your mental health! They pose distractions for when you're trying to do work and trying to sleep. They also cause stress because of the ever-looming dread that someday, you'll need to clean it when your family visits! So I'm gonna share a few rules I follow when keeping my own room tidy. These have become a habit for me, and as a result I now clean when I'm anxious! Not what I intended, but these tips should still be helpful.
1. Lower your standards! Your room doesn't have to be spotless all the time; it just needs to function according to your particular needs. It's ok to have a pile of Things on your dresser, or to leave your laundry on the floor over the course of a busy week. What's not ok is to have so much stuff piled up that you can't see the floor, that's called a hoarding problem!!
2. Hoarding problems are definitely hard to deal with! I grew up in a family full of people who have sentimental connections to useless things for no reason other than 'we might use it again some day' or 'I couldn't bear to part with it'. This thinking is the root of the problem, so what you need to do is put a stop to it at the root. Don't even put things in your room that you don't have a current use for or don't have a deep family or past sentimental connection to. That way, you won't bond with the item and then have a hard time getting rid of it later. Also keep a small trash can in your room to make throwing things away easier so that trash doesn't clutter horizontal surfaces. Empty this weekly!!
3. Take 10 or 20 minutes each night to tidy up before you go to sleep. Many night owls find the most energy and motivation in the evening, so that's the perfect time to tidy up your homework pile or straighten the books on your shelf! Or if you're an early bird, do it in the morning while you're getting ready! Regularly doing this step is what makes the next rule much easier.
4. "Deep Clean". Take 1 day a week to spend just a few hours cleaning your room. Turn on some music and bust out the vacuum cleaner and some new sheets (you'll sleep better if you change them frequently) and just declutter until you're satisfied!! Don't forget Rule 1, that your room doesn't have to be spotless; it just has to be functional. Do try to get rid of any dust or dirt in the corners and on the floor or walls, straighten any picture frames, and put away as many books and clothing items as you can. To make this step easier, designate a Special Spot for each thing, and if you need to, write it down so you can't forget. Then return each thing to its Spot each time you deep clean.
5. Make room out in the open for the things you use regularly. If you wash your face every night, put whatever product you use where you'll see it and remember to use it. Keep lip balm and deodorant next to your bed so you remember to use those often. This makes accomplishing your regular tasks more efficient and harder to be distracted from. I also leave my computer out on my desk for easy access, and that way I can't clutter my desk with other Things, because then how else would I get to my computer?? It's about setting up your room to be useful when you're low on time and/or when you aren't doing well mentally.
That's all I have and I hope this helps! 💖 Pls add on if you have any ideas.

THE EASIEST WAY TO CLEAN YOUR ROOM
Tumblr media
Okay so we’ve all been there - you know the situation where someone significant is coming over in 15 minutes and despite your ‘fool-proof planning’, your room is still a mess because finding motivation to clean is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Virtually the only way to find a needle in a haystack is to burn the hay, which whilst it may seem tempting, is probably a bad idea in regard to this situation.
I have compiled some tips and tricks to help you through this. Also, they are not the cliche ones where they say ‘play music - it will help you get motivated’. Trust me, that doesn’t work; I have tried.
If you follow this, you should be able to tackle the job in about 15 minutes. Enjoy.
MAKE A TO-DO LIST
Now I don’t know about you, but when I can clearly visualise a job being done I find motivation to complete it. Ticking of a checklist as you work through feels sooo good and it’s possibly the most satisfying thing ever. You can write this on paper or even use the notes app on your phone so you have it every time you decide you have to clean. Make sure you put it in order of how you will tackle the clean.
SET A TIMER
It might sound dumb but it actually works. Setting a timer kind of turns cleaning into a game or a challenge and it puts you in a good mindset. See if you can clean your room in 15-20 minutes, or push it a bit and try to do it in 10… I believe in you!
GIVE YOURSELF A HEAD START
You’re probably confused by this so let me explain: Before you start cleaning anything, shut all of the doors and make your bed. I promise you, it makes everything look about 10X CLEANER AND IT’S A LIFESAVING TIP! Try it.
CLEAN IN ORDER OF PRIORITY
Complete the bigger jobs first. Assess the room and determine what is making the most mess. Is your room being inundated by dirty clothes or are there books everywhere? Whatever it is, clear that first and work your way down. By the end, the job keeps getting easier!
THROW SOME STUFF OUT
Clutter is usually the main issue in terms of messy rooms. Sometimes you just have to let some things go. If you haven’t used it in the last 6 months and it holds no real sentimental value, chances are you are going to forget about it anyway. Either throw it in the bin or donate it. Less is more.
If you do these things, you will most likely end up with a presentable room. Remember that a deep clean is needed every once in a while (unfortunately).
I hope this helps someone! Share to save a life!
Thanks for reading! ♥️

a guide to make (and stick to) your new year’s resolution
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I officially survived my first semester of sophomore year 😭Christmas (my favorite holiday) is approaching and new year is also coming so soon!
Before next year, let’s sit down and set some resolution (if you want) to change your habits and improve yourself! Sometimes if you set high goals, it’s not achievable but also don’t go too easy on yourself because you may not progress much! Let’s find the “Goldilocks” 😁
Some goals that I want to set for myself this year: - Go to bed before 10:30 PM in weekdays - Take break every 90 minutes of studying and no procrastinating - Try to eat at least two types of fruits and drink 3 bottles of water (500mL) daily
What are your plans for the holiday and resolutions for new year?

The Perks of Being a Wallflower
The Perks of Being a Wallflower is my favorite book besides The Catcher in the Rye which I feel you can compare the two main characters. The Perks of Being a Wallflower might seem like just another generalized tail of teenage years, but I feel that it shouldn't matter if they are talking about what teens actually do or not because the book still shows what a hard time some teens go through. The book shows that everyone goes through their own thing even if its on different scales and what we go through affects us all differently. Thats why I believe The Perks of Being a Wallflower is such an important book.
