Bix's character "ruined" because of her pregnancy?
I just saw a post saying that because of societal's pressure on women to have kids, a lot of films "ruin" strong characters with pregnancy and everyone mentionned Bix from Andor. I won't link the post as I think everyone has the right to have their opinion and I don't wanna start unnecessary drama but BOY do I DISAGREE. Here's my arguments:

1. We all knew from the start that Bix wouldn't stay in the Rebellion. Bix character was created AFTER Rogue One, and since Andor is a prequel and that Bix clearly isn't in Rogue One.. It's only logical that she's out of the picture at that point, it was obvious that the writers would need to find a way to end her story arc (tbh I fully thought she would die, so I'm glad they took this decision instead).
2. Taking the decision to leave Cassian and keep his child only proves her strength and complexity further more. She totally could've left to a calm life with Cassian, they totally could've raised their child together, but she chose to let Cassian fulfill his destiny because she knew the Rebellion, the galaxy, NEEDED him. A decision like this takes so much maturity and it's ultimately the proof of her love for him. NOW, I don't know about you, but to give birth to a child in such uncertain times and choosing to leave everything behind to protect it, to me is a sign of strength and HOPE. The ending of her holding her child in the meadow, smiling at the sky, leaves you HOPEFUL. It means that maybe this child, because of the sacrifice of its father, will get to live a good life. Anyways there's so much symbolism and I could keep talking about it for hours but BIX CHOOSING HER CHILD, IS A FIGHT AGAINST OPPRESSION IN ITS OWN WAY AND IT DOESN'T MAKE HER WEAKER OR PACIFIED!!!
3. She deserved such ending. She's suffered so much, she's been tortured, an imp attempted to SA her, she's had PTSD, she's had depression, she almost (?) became addicted, like this girl has suffered SO MUCH. And her actress is amazing cuz you can see it on her face, the pain she endured to get where she is. SHE DESERVES A GOOD LIFE, she deserves to be happy, she deserves to choose herself to give the greatest life possible to her child. At the end, I don't see a woman that has given up on the fight against the Empire, I see a woman that decides to LIVE despite it, and that's an act of resistance itself.

Love that the one and only shot of Perrin this arc is him after he seemingly had a mid-life crisis and slept with Runai Sculdun. Delightful, I need a 24-episode season of "Real Househusbands of Coruscant" immediately.
