[RUMOR] Ghostforce anime?
Jeremy Zag posted on his Instagram story that the team at ZAG Japan had recorded a demo (sung by Hironobu Kageyama of Saint Seiya and Dragon Ball Z fame) about Ghostforce.
This, combined with both the hashtag and this concept art of Fury, imply that an anime adaptation is in the works. I realized I haven't posted it yet, but the artwork below was revealed on Jeremy Zag's Instagram Story back in April.

Of course, there is no official announcement at the time of this writing, so take this with a grain of salt.
Multiple articles have announced that ZAG Japan would "explore the emotional depth and artistic beauty of Japanese storytelling by developing manga, anime series, and traditional animation films that will inspire audiences all around the world".
There are also rumors floating around that Miraculous might (finally) have an anime version as part of the deal. But again, we need confirmation. Let's hope ZAG's participation at any major trade show events like Annecy Festival and MIPCOM would reveal anything interesting.
#ghostforce#rumors#i'm not going to create a wiki article page for it yet#until more information is revealed and/or an official announcement from the company#ZAG has been completely radio silence on their non-Miraculous projects#hence why I didn't post anything new here

Ghostforce Magazine comic page scans needed
Hey, Ghostforce fans! There is an official magazine series published by Blue Ocean Entertainment that is currently available in Germany and France. However, I need your help. There are exclusive comic stories ("Batata", "Mikroo", and "Mizuo") that are only seen in the first three issues of the magazine. They aren't adaptations of the TV episodes nor do they feature the same ghosts that the team already captured. Instead, they are original stories that feature another member of a ghost specimen. Each issue has a ghost information page that was shown before the comic story, explaining the ghost's cycle level and family. If anyone has any of the three issues, can you scan the pages (both the ghost information pages and the comic stories) and post a link to them?

Also, if you are from France, can you scan the ghost information page for Scream Scratch/Gratouille? The TV episode never mentioned the ghost's cycle level and family, so the magazine is the only known official media that confirms them. The page was only seen in the eighth issue of the magazine's French edition, NOT the German edition (since that contains an adaptation of "Bubble-Brush").

Hi everyone!
I just got back from the Annecy animation festival and this was everything they were giving out on the Zag stand. ✨
About the changes:
A lot of you might have seen the new changes already, season 6 is in production rn I am very excited I was able to see the preview scene and guys we are getting something. The 3D renders look so much better, things have more texture and naturalistic look that overall enhances the atmosphere and appeal of the scene.
I liked the changes on Marinette a lot I think she looks more like her age and the details make her look more like a fashion designer and not a mini girlboss but in a bad way. Also she looks more Chinese finally bc she looked white European af🤧
About Chat Noir I think he looks more like the the anime version and that’s something I like but I think it depends on your own preference. Either way I think we should be happy about the upgrade in quality.
Production:
I am not q súper fan of the chibi show thing but I think it’s a great idea for them to make more money to invest on the main series. That’s how we are going to get the new visual quality.
I also am very excited to see the Miraculous world I believe it will be a nice thing to introduce the new look in a special episode/movie. That way when the series start we’ll be more familiar with it.
The card
Okay so about the card with the Zag values thing was kind of hidden behind the stand but since there was no one there I got one🥸 I hope I’m not the only one who thinks that cart is the funniest thing I got it in my wallet the way a grandma has an image of Jesus in her wallet. The zag values thing just I can’t why would they do that hahahah I thought it was a card for the team and it would be blank to put names and stuff but I didn’t expect that.
More?
Dubble Rose:
This one could be a refreshing new superhero show, I wasn’t able to find anything else about it.
Ghost force 2:
I didn’t knew anything about this series so correct me if I’m wrong. It looked like a pretty basic and generic 3d show for kids but now they enhanced the look and I might watch this season. I’ve been looking for a 3d show that doesn’t look bad and I was very happy with this new announcements I hope we can get more quality content but we’ll have to wait to see what they deliver.
Let’s hope we can finally get a scary fun show!

Fairyon:
I couldn’t find anything about this one but the image looks nice.
Overall very excited to know what they are cooking in Zag looking forward for the new things.

The only projects confirmed to be in development are Miss Rose and SuperStar. Maybe it's one of the two. However, there is a possibility that the pilot is for either Moonlight Hunters, Kosmik Wrestle, or Gayajin since there hasn't been any news about their development for years. I'm uncertain if it's for LadyDragon or the Miraculous Rio spin-off since Thomas Astruc mentioned that he already wrote a pitch bible for them, implying pilots for both projects were already created to accompany the bibles.
Regardless, let's hope this pilot manages to get successfully pitched to a network so it can get greenlighted into production. Many of ZAG's projects are stuck in development hell because of a lack of interest from networks wanting to buy them.
Somebody pointed out that storyboard artist Esther Brustlein recently finished work on a pilot for an animated series by Zag. Unfortunately, we don't know which 😔

I remember seeing this animatic from this Portuguese-language blog called "ZAG World". The blog hasn't been active since 2018, but one of its posts revealed that the author discovered the animatic after it was accidentally made public on Zagtoon Dev, one of ZAG's official Vimeo channels.
The original video has been either deleted or made private. Luckily for us, ZAG World managed to have a copy of it. Based on the post's publication date, the animatic was made public in mid-April 2017 while the movie was still in early development. So, who knows if the crew will keep this version of the intro for the final version.
Sidenote: The original video opened with a 20th Century Fox intro (no, I'm not joking). But after looking through Jeremy Zag's Instagram posts published during the month the animatic was leaked, I have a theory that ZAG was trying to find investors and/or production partners so they could bring the project to life. One of his posts mentioned a Los Angeles summit meeting between ZAG, 20th Century Fox, and Blue Sky Studios (rest in peace for the latter). It wasn't until 2022 that it was announced production for the movie had been officially started, the same year that Cross Creek Pictures later announced that it would be involved as part of a ten-picture deal.
Question: have you or have you not seen this official opening animatic of Melody where the villain Rose Stellar has a dream of Melody herself?
https://youtu.be/VIDjkrF7RU0?si=YskK6FKEi-isfRVe
No, I haven't :0
This is interesting, thank you for sharing!
Do you know if it was leaked or shared officially somewhere?

Hi! ¿What do you know about Zak Storm Season 2?
Zak Storm Season 2 was announced to be greenlighted during the Miraculous Ladybug panel at SDCC 2017. The first script of the season was also completed as revealed on Jeremy Zag's Instagram on June 6, 2019, implying that it's in pre-production. However, there's still no news about it after all these years, so the production status is currently unknown. We don't know if ZAG and Man of Action are still planning to do Season 2 or if the production hasn't even begun yet.
Production of a new TV show and/or a TV season takes time and it usually takes between 2-3 years before the final product is finished and makes its premiere. I'm not talking about the announcement of the existence of a project or when a project is greenlit. But rather when there's an announcement that the production of a project begins and the crew starts working on it. Start animating, recording the voices, etc.
Power Players Season 1 began production in 2017 and premiered in 2019. Ghostforce Season 1 began production in 2018, but because of covid slowing everything down in 2020 which was rumored to be the original year of release, it premiered in 2021. Ghostforce Season 2 has begun production in 2022, so it's likely, based on the production length I mentioned earlier, that that show's season would premiere in 2024. Though, I wonder if Power Players Season 2 has begun production yet...
The same production length occurred for the seasons of Miraculous too. Think about it. Do you ever wonder why it takes too long for Miraculous Season 2? That's because of the production length gap. Miraculous Season 2 (and Season 3 at the same time) began production literally two months after "Volpina" aired in France in early-to-mid 2016. This resulted in us waiting until late 2017 for the official premiere of Season 2 (not counting the Christmas episode in 2016 since production for that episode is rushed in time for the holiday) and Season 3 premiered literally a month after the Season 2 finale in late 2018. The crew used this exact method again for Miraculous Seasons 4 and 5. Both seasons began production at the same time in late 2019, but again, because of covid, Season 4 premiered in early 2021, while Season 5 premiered literally three months after the Season 4 finale in mid-2022.
With all that in mind, this logically means that the production of Zak Storm Season 2 would have been finished in either 2021 or 2022 if the first script was finished all the way back in 2019. However, something must have happened behind-the-scenes that caused the production of the season to not even started, and it is instead stuck in pre-production which is the planning process of the season. There haven't been any announcements about Zak Storm Season 2 on Jeremy Zag's Instagram ever since 2019. The only time he posted anything about Zak Storm was in 2021 to promote Season 1 on Netflix... after it was removed in the USA. But there haven't been any posts featuring the show or its characters since then. Man of Action, the studio that co-produced both Zak Storm and Power Players, hasn't announced anything either. Not to mention, and this is important, the scripts must have not been finished yet. Neither Dubbing Brothers nor Ezra Weisz (the voice director for both Zak Storm and Miraculous Ladybug) has announced that they received the scripts for Season 2 to dub in English, which means the remaining episodes of Season 2 haven't even been written either.
Both ZAG and Man of Action are busy with one or two projects at a time to focus on Zak Storm. Man of Action is currently prioritizing Sonic Prime for Netflix and I think they are working on Season 3 for that show, so it's unlikely that the crew would have any time to do another season of Zak Storm. ZAG does a similar thing, not counting the seasons of Miraculous. 2019 gave us Power Players Season 1. 2020 gave us Miraculous New York special. 2021 gave us Ghostforce Season 1 and Miraculous Shanghai special. And 2023 gave us the Miraculous movie, though production for the movie lasted from 2019 to 2023 so it's understandable because of covid and stuff.
Anyway, it's likely Zak Storm Season 2 has been stuck in pre-production for all these years. This really sucks since the series is still stuck on a cliffhanger after the Season 1 finale back in 2018. At this point, I don't know if I want to wait any longer until both ZAG and Man of Action revisit the project and announce when the crew will begin production of the season. If the season hasn't begun production as soon as possible, then it would likely be premiered in either the mid-to-late 2020s or never.
TL;DR: Zak Storm Season 2 still hasn't begun production yet and it is likely instead stuck in pre-production/the planning process. As a result, we don't know when it would ever premiere due to both ZAG and Man of Action prioritizing other projects and it's uncertain if they would ever revisit Zak Storm again.
#zak storm#production status#tldr at the bottom of the full page#i included both ZAG and Man of Action due to zak storm being a co-production#without Man of Action then ZAG won't be able to produce Zak Storm nor Power Players

We unexpectedly got some new stuff!
So Zag shared a video in his stories focusing on Angie Nasca, a character designer for Zag, as you probably already know. And it's going to be part of a series, so I can't wait to see more creators and their work!
youtube
Anyway, in the video you can see a lot of concept art for Melody: the Movie, and it reveals bit by bit Sunny's backstory. She has a childhood friend named Nina, she used to herd sheep and dream of the big city and one or both of her parents passed away, leaving her with a pink guitar.
Then Angie says she's working on design and story for the next project without saying what it is, but you can clearly see it's Fairy Force.
I encourage you to watch the video for yourself, of course

Knight Five

Some old concept arts for Knight Five (previously called Half Night). Besides these three pictures, I found an article on Variety which tells some interesting things:
- This show was planned as a mixture of animation and live-action (like Power Players); - It was being developed around the same time as Ladybug PV was made (2012); - It’s set in London (like Miss Rose); - “It’s similar to Buffy the Vampire Slayer but with a kids’ twist”, in Zag’s words; - It’s about “five high school friends who make a discovery on Halloween night that gives them the power to turn into a vampire, ghost, werewolf, creature and witch, and protect the British capital from evil forces”. I haven’t found any recent info about this project, so it was probably shelved or scrapped. But it looks very intriguing, so I’ll hold onto hope.
Bonus pic with what looks like some of the heroes unmasked (bottom right):

The updated zagtoon site shows 7C’s Kobushi Ladybug Rosie and Sammy in front, Transylmaniak, Kosmic Dancer and Moonlight H aren’t hi-lighted. The hi-lighted properties all have various platforms they are on, excepting Rosie and 7C’s which for now seem to be just tv shows. But what happened to Job Academy, Sweet Power and T&Q?
