being kin can be fun sometimes. it's lots of doodling yourself in math class and creating cute picrews when you're bored. it's poring through the books in your local library just to learn more about yourself. it's gold glitter on your eyelids and a smile on your mouth. it's not all bad. sometimes you get to love walking through the darkness and neon-soaked rain.

Sad and a bit frustrating that most 'nonhuman tips!' posts can be boiled down to 'buy things! buy things! buy things!'. not everyone can or wants to spend money on gear/decor

this might be a bad take, however: The reason why therianthropy feels 'fake' and 'like a trend' is not because of masks/tails/quadrobics it's because of the way content creation and social media erode identities into an easily marketable and consumable list of things to do.

sometimes i doubt myself as a nonhuman but then i imagine myself running and i automatically picture my paws, all four hitting the ground rhythmically. When i imagine myself swimming i picture a great tail beating against the water or claws grabbing onto rocks. When i picture freedom i can feel myself flying among the clouds and stars, reality at my very fingertips.

I know this new experience and body can still be wonderful, i choose to experience this life for a reason, but it’s impossible to deny it is not my true form. I know I hold so much more power, and it brings me great comfort in this life to believe i will get back to it again.

thinking about how i dont need concrete evidence to identify as otherkin. if an identity feels comfortable to me thats what im going to identify as and no one can stop me because its none of their business if im an angel or whatever <3
