Valid. Yao's probably pretty cautious around Luka as well. Very civil, very respectful, but definitely still has a little bit of a grudge about him beating her in the Monster Lord's Castle.

I think that Yao would find Fafnir to be... a bit much for her. Too much energy, and may end up having to make her Sit The Fuck Down at least once out of annoyance. But, if Fafnir were the sort to calm down a little bit, they might be able to talk... well, reasonably.

I've been delving into records of battles between humans and monsters over the past few hundred years, and I've found reports of Tamamo sending out her retainers to fight in her stead on occasion, but none of the records mention you fighting. Are you more of a personal bodyguard, then? I can't imagine why they wouldn't send someone as strong as yourself out on the front lines.

Yao doesn't particularly like being on the front lines of larger scale combat. Yes, she is more Lady Tamamo's personal guard than a standard combatant.
