Hey all, Ky here. Im going to have to upd8 our intro post so that is why it's down rn, turns out that we had our rolls all sorts of fucky, and I'm back to being host.

I think people really underestimate the amount of strangeness that the average person just ignores. When it comes to systems (specifically covert systems), the amount of signs of alters that people will just ignore, seems really weird. Until you think about the fact that when a singlet meets a system, they obviously assume you’re a singlet. They get used to different alters just being part of who you are.

For example, “oh, you act like a child sometimes? That’s just who you are.” “Your personality changes a lot? That’s just how your personality is.” They get to know “you” as a sum of your alters. So they’re so used to alters fronting, they may have a hard time realizing that they even are alters.

my alters have been down lately, so this is for them and anyone else who needs to hear it:

alters whose voices/accents don't present themselves when speaking are valid

alters whose writing looks exactly like the host's writing are valid

perpetrators and persecutors who are nice are valid

alters who get mean, even though they're usually nice, are valid

alters who haven't fronted in forever are valid

alters who front daily are valid

alters who go nonverbal when fronting are valid

you're all valid, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!
