"You're probably right that its better to do it when we go home, at least things will be more stable then" Renesmee nods her head gently.

She's never admitted her feelings to Jake though, not only is she worried he doesn't feel the same but she's worried about how things will change when they do go home.

It's been over 5 years since that fateful day back in Forks, when the Volturi confronted The Cullen coven and their friends. Nessie's family had been lost and she wasnt sure what had become of the rest of the vampires, and the wolf pack, who had come to defend them.

For five years she and Jacob had pretty much been in hiding. He was the only person she had and she knew she loved him greatly, she just wasnt sure whether he loved her in the same way.

The pair had now settled in Seattle and she kind of likes it here. Luckily her mother had made sure they would have enough money to see them comfortable for a long time, but she also kind of wanted a semi "normal" life. Even if she was young, she still looked to the outside world like a teenager and she wanted to experience things that other normal kids did. She just doesn't know if it would be safe, she had been thinking about asking Jake for a while now and tonight is the night shes going to ask him.

She takes in a deep breath before she walks downstairs and sits beside him on the sofa

"Jake?" She says, not to get his attention because she knew she always had that, but more to give herself more time. "I've been thinking.. I know everything we've done over the last 5 years is to keep me hidden and keep me safe. But.." She pauses and sighs "Do you think we'll ever be able to have a normal life and do normal things?" She asks him, playing with her hands in her lap.

Ness sighs sighs softly when Jake tells her that his Dad has been in touch but it still isn't safe for then to return home. She leans into him when his arms go around her.

"I hope we do get the chance to go back and I think that you joning the police is an amazing idea, you'll be amazing" She says honestly, her eyes meeting with his

"I do, I should have been able to have the chance to go to school, make friends, but it was all ripped away that day" She sighs softly "You really dont think we can go back to Forks? What about your dad, your sisters? They must miss you terribly"
