Notes:
1. Most of the genealogical information was taken from various scholarly biographies written about the Simcoe family (see my previous post on a brief list of books). Some of the birth and death years of John and Eliza’s children were gleaned from their respective memorial headstones at Wolford Chapel in England, as uploaded on FindAGrave.com. Additional information on several of John and Eliza’s grandchildren was obtained from an online transcription of the contents of a genealogy book, “Visitation of England and Wales (Vol. 5),” as seen here. Any errors found in this post are mine. (EDITED 08/18/2019)
2. Although not on Tumblr, I wish to give personal credit to “Reinette de la Saintonge,” an author on Archive Of Our Own who has written several works based on both historical!Simcoe and TURN!Simcoe. You can read her writings here. Her personal research about the Simcoe family had inspired me to do my own, so I gratefully want to acknowledge her for her efforts. (EDIT 08/21/2019: I also want to express my deepest appreciation for offering her input!) Thank you, Reinette!
