Jeremy would be, should be, afraid of the hate that swells in his heart if he wasn’t already so used to its gnashing teeth and jagged claws.
He holds its hand close— not only for him but the people he cares about. He hates the older brother that left, the grandfather that disappeared, the estranged mother that doesn’t listen. He hates for those that can’t, that refuse to. And that’s okay, because he’d rather his own light dim than the light of the people he calls his family.

“I feel like I’ll be taken away at any moment and there’s nothing I’ll be able to do about it,” Damien says. It’s barely a whisper, a warble in the back of his throat. He can feel Rich stare sadly at him, but he can’t bring himself to look him in the eye.
Rich wraps a strong arm around Damien’s shoulders and pulls him close. “They’re not going to take you. I’ll die before that happens.”
Damien gives a small smile, but it dies at his lips and doesn’t reach his eyes. Because that’s what scares Damien the most— the fact that he knows Rich means it and a world without Rich Sanchez and his honey warm smile and corny jokes is no world at all.

some days are better for arthur than others. he used so much dark magic when he was younger that it corrupted his body. the sealing tattoos on his body help to control it, but sometimes it seeps through when he’s really stressed or angry. which is actually often, though he does his best to put on a smile for the others.
when it gets really bad, he’ll lock himself away in his room to rest for a couple of days.

ivan himself doesn’t stay home at all times. he often goes on mission and investigations and more often than not gets hired to either find missing people that were involved in the supernatural or to get rid of unwanted supernatural beings like house sprites or poltergeists. he probably comes home often beat up and looking worse for wear
