Leo's elle wood moment was awesome! This just confirms that even when they defeat Draxum, there will still be a lot of people interested in the brothers, can't wait for book 4!

New chapter is phenomenal as always, but i have to know, was galois' dizzy/sick spell because he was hanging with his bro? Like chilling with Raph in a way that he did as Donnie, the memories/familiar vibes are bubbling to the surface?? My only doubt about this 'theory' is that i dont think this happened when he was hanging out with Mikey in the library, but I feel like that was a very different setting then what Mike and Don would usually be in. Am I grasping at straws or is this foreshadowing

I mean, you could totally view it that way, but it wasn't my intention. Gale is still healing and he's pretty exhausted most of the time. I tried to put in clues with mentioning him leaning on his staff more and more as time goes on, but I ended up cutting some heavier dialogue that didn't really fit and I think those went with it.

Both Leo and Gale were fucked up at the end of Book 2. Like, Leo almost died. The fam has sugarcoated it for him but they were told on at least one occasion that he was probably going to die, and Gale was even worse. Draxum had to intervene several times to keep his heart from failing, boy had a broken spine and got the same claw-through-the-bone as Leo got through his femur. If the roles were reversed and Gale was being cared for by anyone but Draxum, he would have died. The fact that he can walk after this at all is a testament to their healing ability and Draxum's expertise. (and the fact that he straight-up would never call it quits on Gale) It's been a month, he's doing insanely good. But he's still in pain, and he's wiped out. And it's not like you can trust him to take care of himself.

Yoshi/Lou/Splinter "I was today years old when I became a single father" Jitsu/Hamato learning to parent is just such a wonderful idea and I want to see more of it. I've been wanting to draw Splinter related stuff for a while, but just hadn't been able to think of anything. I finally thought about this grown man in the hilarious position of trying to deal with 4 little infants that fit literally in the palm of his hand. It's even better when you think about the fact that he is also a single child who would have to try and figure out how siblings work while also having to place at least 2 out of his 4 sons in air jail for biting him on a daily basis.

We don't have a very clear indicator of when he transitioned fully into the Splinter we see throughout the series, just that it happened when the turtles were still pretty young so I kind of compromised and combined his freshly transformed design with aspects from his general appearance in the series.

I don't know if it's a common problem in this part of the internet, but don't know how to deal with dark circles under the eyes?

I know what they usually say - more sleep and less screen time - but I'm trying to get enough sleep at night 7/8 hours or so, and with my new job the latter isn't like it's an option either (not that it wasn't an option before either).

Any suggestions?

idk dude concealer? I am the last person to ask about a healthy sleep schedule. If my eyes look like shit I just keep my glasses on.

Hey rise Raph fans I know most of y’all know that alligator snapping turtles technically never stop growing but did you know that past a certain age they never go on land (with the exception of egg laying) because their bodies are just too heavy to move out of the water? Sososo excited for the next chapter to come out, I can’t stop thinking about what Leo’s Elle Woods moment will be

Take your time obviously, you deserve all the break time you can get, just know that I’m here waiting with baited breath lol

I was hoping to have it out this weekend. But I also said that last weekend. And the week before.

Honestly, the big issue is just this ONE scene of Leo's. It's soooo looooong. And I've only been able to write it in like 500 words increments, which is not a lot for me. I can write a bunch in one sitting, the entire scene where Xever warns Gale and Bradford attacks him was written in one day and most of the changes I ended up making afterwards were grammatical. I wrote 1500 words in like a little over an hour today, because it was just coming to me, but for this scene it just...doesn't. And when I have scenes like that I tend to stress over everything, delete a lot of what I did the day before, and avoid it because it's just Too Much.

And that's the scene where Leo has his Elle Woods moment! I can't leave it out! I thought about just focusing on the other Leo section and Gale's sections, (it's a fiver, so three for Gale and two for Leo) and releasing That scene as a separate chapter, but I plotted out this chapter to have certain emotional beats and that'll all just be screwed up if I chop it up!

Yeah, sorry. Leo's scenes have always been-not really more difficult to write, but they've never flowed as easily as Donnie's. And Leo's starting to Do Stuff now.

Oh, but this is the Elle Woods moment I was talking about. Apparently I grossly underestimated how many iconic moments she has.
