At this time I am usually staring at a computer screen writing reports and filling in inventory. Maybe some filing too! #TTPSplayingchess #roadblock #notamaxi #Pocoyo #LifewithMunchkin

On International Women's Day, I got up and made breakfast for my husband and brought it for him in bed. Not because I was trying to prove a point. Not because I am a woman and that is my "duty". But because it is Sunday, he had a hard week and I woke up first. And because 9 out of the 10 meals cooked in my house are done by him. People misconstrue the meaning of days like this the same way they misconstrue the meaning of love on Valentine's Day or Mothers on Mothers' Day. The misguided feminists get up in arms and begin their man bashing while demanding equal rights. "Men are dogs, but they have to do 'this' for me and 'that' for me if they want anything from me." You give what you get. Plain and simple. In an attempt to bring down the patriarchy, some women have stripped men of their rights in the process. Their right to be treated like a human being. While there are great strides yet to be made in true gender equality (education, pay bracket, the glass ceiling etc.) That is no excuse to dehumanize the men. Especially the ones who have broken their backs in supporting us.

Dear colleague,
Cracking jokes that I was hired not to do my work but help you defeat your almighty and powerful incompetence (paraphrasing), while I am neck deep in deadlines is not cute. In fact, all it does is make me want to strangle you. So please keep your stale jokes to a minimum today. I am wearing a scarf.
Signed, Your usually friendly and helpful colleague who just needs coffee.
