"Yeah, right." Amy laughed bitterly. She didn't trust anyone around here. "And let me guess-" She said, finishing for him "that's what you're going to do right now, isn't it?"
“That’s because they are so closed minded, why would they believe anything anyone around here has to say?”
Tumblr media
“Tell me, doctor, do you think I’m insane?” Amy asked, bringing her hard gaze up to meet his.

“There’s nothing to work on.” Amy said bitterly, curling her legs behind her on the couch so she could put some more distance between them.

"Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it against your religion to drink? Especially when you're still working." Yeah, she was calling you out sister.

"Yeah, sorry-" She really wasn't. "I don't believe in God." Amy told the Sister bitterly. Given any other situation, she wouldn't be so quick to disrespect someone else's beliefs. But she hated everything about this place, including the way they shoved religion down their throats.
Tumblr media
"What journey is that exactly?" Unless it was the journey to get out of here, she honestly didn't care.
There was something about that smile, despite appearing to be genuine, that seemed to be anything but. Then again, Amy hardly saw the good in any of the people who worked here. Abusing their patients seemed to be second nature to them. It was disgusting. “Oh really? And how is that?” Amy asked bitterly.

"That's the whole point. How could they find her when she doesn't exist yet?" Of course, despite her telling the truth she knew how insane she sounded.
Did he seriously just ask her that? "No. I've never done drugs." Amy told him, offended. Well, she had tried once, but that was the only time and that was a long time ago. "See? You are just like the rest of them."
Tumblr media
“Kidnapped, you say? And they haven’t found your kidnapper?” Oliver questioned, habitually, and sat back in his seat. His hands were folded on his chest and his eyes pierced at her.
   Delusions, maybe?
“I have a simple question…”
Oliver licked his lip a second, before speaking.
“Do you have a past of any drug use?”

Snorting softly, Amy crossed her arms over her chest. "I doubt that." She muttered, eyes appraising him. "I'm not from here." Amy started with a sigh. "Nowhere near here. I got thrown back in time and I know you're already thinking I'm insane, but I suppose I have nothing to prove that I'm not, right? That's why I'm here." Amy didn't hold back the bitterness in her voice and how she was more or less mocking him.
"I was kidnapped. 10 months ago, forced to give birth only to have my child ripped away from me and then they sent me here. So my husband and friend could never find me again. Well, not here. But I was found on the side of a road and they brought me here."

“Because maybe I’m not like everyone else.” He spoke quickly, and studied the redhead a bit more. She seemed troubled, then again; why else would she be in this facility? This place was nothing more but filled with the troubled damned. She was no different, was she?
“Try me. What got you here?”

"I don't know why you're bothering, I've told this story a dozen times and no one believes me. Why would it make any difference to you?" As it were, Amy already had issues with psychiatrists. Having dealt with them for quite a few years during her youth. She hadn't been insane then and she wasn't insane now.

Mary’s entire expression remained as any nun’s would; calm and serene without a hint of deviousness. Her overall exterior was that which  matched the stereotypical allure of innocence as she took in the woman’s question with ease, a smile playing across her lips as s he answered in a simple manner, “You’d be surprised of what I know.”

"I don't need a vistor's pass." Amy told him stubbornly. God, when was she going to get out of this stupid place? Probably never.
Oh. Rather unsurprising. Vapid bitches and loose whores were even more common than he had given kismet credit for. Arden really ought to have known better than to have allowed that tiny little glimmer of hope to spark on behalf of innocence. Sighing a little, he reached up to push his glasses further up his nose.
“I see. Then why don’t you follow me. I’ll see about arranging some kind of… visitor’s pass.”
A pass to the morgue, perhaps.

Oh. He was actually serious with that question.

"Does it look like I'm visiting someone?" Amy retorted before adding, "Besides, if someone I knew was in here, they wouldn't be for much longer." Of course she couldn't keep her mouth shut. It got her into quite a bit of a trouble as a kid, and it still did to this day.
“Permission is generally needed while wandering the halls of an institution for the criminally insane.” If that concept honestly didn’t dawn on her the moment she stepped into the building, then her naivete was both crippling and… charming. “Are you… visiting someone?”

"I didnt realise I need permission to walk around." Which was the truth, but the attitude in her tone probably wouldn't do anything in her favour.
The clipboards made it over to the arm with the manila folders, freeing up one hand. The first few things that ran through his head? Does she have family? Red hair, blue-green eyes — genetic rarity… innocent features. Pretty. Who would miss her? How many ways could he perfect her?
“Do not make the mistake of thinking you can play games with me. Do you have authorization or not. Answer the question.”

"Oh." Amy's expression fell a bit. She had never been fond of doctor's, except for her Doctor. "Wasn't really a question though, was it? More of a statement." Amy pointed out.

Busted. But Amy had been in situations like this before, far too many times to count. "Sorry, but who are you exactly?" Subtle, really.

“…Yes?” Amy asked, wondering who this bloke was. He looked like he worked here, which automatically put him in the negative of her good side.

"No, probably not." Amy said a bit smugly. "It really bothers you, doesn't it? Not knowing my name." She asked, looking at the restraint before looking at him.
For a moment Amy thought he wasn’t going to help her, but apparently he didn’t agree with their methods much either. “What sort of name would you give me?” Amy asked curiously, watching him untie her right ankle.
