Tiramisu is the most sensual of desserts. The complex and rich textures speak of it’s popularity. Creamy and light with a hint of coffee, Tiramisu has always been my favorite dessert. My favorite local place to go to get Tiramisu has been at Portos in Burbank.

My wife was always raving about macaroons and I never saw what she got so worked up about. It’s undisputed that I love dessert, but why pay almost 3 dollars for what is basically a tiny cookie? Sure it is made of egg whites, has a fancy name, and a historical reputation for being delicious...but is it worth it?
IT WAS COMPLETELY WORTH IT! Bottega Louie sells an artistic achievement wrapped in a sweet shell. Fragrant and sweet the soft outer shell contrasts perfectly with the goey goodness inside creating an explosion of textures for the senses. Perfectly paired they offered a wide variety of flavors to choose from and you should definitely check them out next time you are in Downtown LA!
