The Knights of Heaven were wondrous. Second to the true gods in ageless immortality. Daughters to the Queen's Crown. The most powerful warriors to remain in Creation, it is said. The Knights of Heaven were terrifying. Even the smallest could hold a mortal in the palm of her hand, and they should be gracious for every moment she let the pitiful beings remain. At least, that's how the other Knights seemed to view the poor little things, at the best of times. But mortal souls shone like a candle in her hand, Laiyevi always thought. Flickering in the air, in danger from even the gentlest gust of wind. Her eyes could perceive the human's faintest trembles in the cold light of morning, and the weak aura of stray emotion it accompanied. Shades of fear and awe. She must seem huge to a mortal this size. Her body looming over like the sky, the beat of her star-forged heart pulsing under its feet like magma. This just made her want to protect it more. If she was a little odd for that, so be it. ---- Oh no! I can't seem to stop drawing her! Oh well, enjoy~ These are all connected to a larger story, and I do have the rough drafts sitting somewhere. I may clean them up and post them in the near future.
