what does wump mean? is it like dead dove?

sortaaaa whump is general hurt/comfort but heavier on the hurt basically! some whump can contain dead dove stuff, but not all of it does. i mostly stay away from the majority of dead dove, but ik that isnt that same for all whump artists and writers
