it’s obviously trendy to hate on america but I genuinely need ppl to understand, especially going into the next four years, that over half of AMERICANS did not want this. we’re protesting, we’re advocating, we’re educating. but our government will not listen to us. you do not need to tell us that our country is an imperialist war machine or make jokes about school shootings or about our healthcare system. we know. we are actively being exploited for our time and our bodies by the capitalists that want to bleed us dry. they do not see us as humans to help, but cattle to profit from. and they are in charge. there is plenty to make fun of. maga, elon musk, trump, etc. but some of you truly lack empathy. underprivileged vulnerable communities make up the majority of this country and we are suffering and will continue to suffer as we descend farther into a fascist state disguised as an oligarchy

I think a fundamental difference between book Dracula and Nosferatu is how the protagonists work as a collective. In Dracula, they are the Scooby Gang (trusting, collaborative, polyamorous). In Nosferatu, they are the teens from an 80s slasher (suspicious, deceitful, jealous). The count can be defeated, but only the power of friendship can save Mina.

The older I get, and the more on fire the world seems to be the more I feel comforted and SEEN by Sir Terry Pratchett and Discworld.

Not because all the books are inherently comfortable so much as because they feel like someone taking you by the hand and saying; “I know. I’m just as angry about this bullshit. I just saw a random instagram comment claiming that Jonathan “couldn’t stand” the thought of Mina being tainted or othered while Thomas loves Ellen regardless, and that’s why the latter is superior, and I…what book did that person read cause it definitely wasn’t Dracula by Bram Stoker.

hot artists don't gatekeep

I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

I really don’t know what to say right now. America saw a highly qualified woman and rejected her for the hate and bigotry of Trump.

you know what, I fucking resent the idea that young men are turning to fascism because "the libs are always telling them they suck" and so somehow we need to fix our attitude and tell them "hey, it's okay, you're beautiful and you're worth it!"

who is telling them they suck in any way that matters? men continue to be in power. they continue to get jobs even if they're less qualified than women candidates. they continue to earn more than women. they continue to benefit from unpaid labor from women. they continue to have control over women's bodies. they continue to be in government and higher hierarchy positions in greater proportion than women. they continue to have a say on whether other people will have the right to exist or not. they continue to be the representation standard from media to medical research. they continue to be praised and revered as partners for doing the bare minimum.

what else do you want? what else are we supposed to do? we have to fight inch by inch to get fucking control over our own bodily autonomy away from men and also tell them that it's okay, they're still the big man, so that maybe, just maybe, they don't elect a rapist fascist tyrant over a woman who is actually qualified? I'm sorry that the entire world isn't enough to reassure men that they're still in control because they feel threatened by the barbie movie.

Actually, Bram Stoker’s Dracula

Frustrated that a good Dracula adaptation doesn’t exist I just made my own movie poster for the movie that should exist but somehow doesn’t!!!
