Proposal for Final Video Project
I think that for my final video project I want to maybe use this opportunity to work more with toonboom or other animation software. I think I want to have a multiplane zoom into a city type surrounding into a room where someone is sitting in front of their television playing video games and at that point I kinda either want to combine gameplay I have recorded or something fast paced occurring until the calm reoccurs in my audio track. Then I would be trying to pan the camera around the still image of this person in the room and then leading back into that gameplay with the audio upbeat and finishing it with a happy kinda cliffhanger where the viewer decided how they think it might end. Telling the story of playing a game and that person being the hero of the team, and bringing in the victory or maybe to the viewer that conclusion is unsure and it is up to them to decide. Almost as if they are the person and how they think they would do decides that conclusion to them.

I decided to take my digital painting of Zenyatta from Overwatch and see what would happen if I did the different effects in audacity to make this. I held certain frames in order to create a better sort of transitioning phase. Then I also did a moving one that I did not like as much.

Sound Collage
I think that for my sound collage I would like to mashup sounds from different games I play to create a song type thing that people could listen to while they play games. I’m not really sure other than that what else I would really be wanting to make. I want to use sounds from gameplay that I have recorded in order to make a song, even if it is creating a beat from a tiny amount of the game. I will be trying to make the listener feel tense and upbeat so that when they play the game they feel excited and alert. Most of my sounds will be coming from a game called Overwatch.

Tried to make it sound like it is in a dark cavern type area along with the bell being a reference to the character itself, hopefully it is decent, at least I tried. My sources are me making water drip noises, a water bottle being rocked back and forth slowly, and a bell on a kitten plushie thingy my friend had.

Collage Project
So I am calling my new collage project, “Sky’s the Limit” and it is piece based off of the idea of not having an idea and the idea of sitting down and thinking of an idea that will work for your next project. I got inspiration from using my old pieces to create the collage along with a picture of the sky. I combined old idea’s to create a new piece.

Remix Defined
I feel like the authors general point in this article is to tell people about how the use of remix has been around for a while and continues to effect our culture and the artwork produced to this day. Remix is the use of something already creating, and adding or subtracting something from it in order to create something new or to change it a little. An example of this would be that a lot of different songs that we all listen to today are remixed and changed in order to make it faster or slower and appeal to the viewer.
I see remixing in all sorts of things around me. In my lifetime there are a lot of occasions where people take characters and combine them with other things in order to create their own art, for example I have a shirt of sonic the hedgehog, and Tails that are dressed up like Batman and Robin. I also see remixing in some of the things I do since I am constantly using different references to create my art it sometimes turns my artwork into a remixed version or others because of inspiration through their work.
So in all honestly since we can only create things that we have seen, and can only picture things we have seen or experienced, would that mean that everything we do or create is a remix of something that we have seen, and heard?
