Hello 2021
It has been a long while since I ventured Tumblr.  A lot has happened and are still occurring.  I got married and became a widower.  Then, decided to move to another country and begin a new chapter.  What occurred next no one was truly prepared for, COVID.  This is not a segment about COVID, per say but, it is an on going topic of conversation everywhere.
After, my loss, I realized that I was very much in love.  He was what I had been looking for my whole life.  Many a time, I feel as though life toyed with me.  Here lets give you the most amazing partner you could ever have, enjoy him while you can, and then “zoink” we are taking him from your life.  Now, it is time to deal with this and carry on.
Is it perhaps an issue that I was presented with and that I have to learn to completely let go of the material and terrestrial?  I have often wondered just how insignificant the human existence can be.  In the span of the cosmos it truly is but a speck of dust, of a speck of dust.  The expanse of the cosmos and all that it holds within itself and outside itself is incomprehensible to the most standard of human minds.
After all, it is said we all chose to come here to this plane to adventure and to expand the consciousness.  I have come to learn that my late husband and I made a pact to come here eventually meet and then having to say good bye.  Many a time, I ponder that if I had spent a longer time with him and fell harder in love with him, letting him go would be impossible.  As it is, it is difficult to acknowledge his physical absence.  Many nights I lay in bed thinking that this is only a dream.  That once I wake up we will be embracing and that we will carry out our daily life.  Sadly, I have yet to wake up and see him wrapped around my arms and sleeping like the angel that he is.  Yet, from time to time I get to smell the aroma that he had whilst he was physically here, from the melange of his body chemistry and Jean Paul Gaultier’s “LE MALE” to the aftermath of our love making essence.  Other occasions the wind caresses me and whispers in my ear “I love you, love” in his very voice.  Seldomly, I witness the warmth of his embrace when I truly miss him.  Owning to his very word of “I will always be with you beyond the end of time.”
In this precise moment, all I can think of is what a great person he was and how lucky I am to have met him.  To have him fall head over heels for me, and I of him.  He dedicated his life to his parents and his job, he had almost given up hope of finding a partner until one day we met and I told him, “Pardon my direct approach, but you are handsome and I want to get to know you inside and out.” To which he responded, “I would be delighted if you did get to know me inside and out, because I would be fortunate enough to get to know you inside and out.”  From that moment hence, we were inseparable.
Each and every moment I have come to cherish and value in high esteem.

Winter is a time of self reflection, where you spend most of your time indoors.  It is also a great time to check in with oneself.
