but the General, who didn't care about anyone but himself and his own happiness? who got so many people and creatures killed, who let it all happen, who pushed the Nowhere King to become what he was? she didn't even hesitate to do it.

and the Elktaur that was both of them? when she seems him one final time, whole again? she cries, like she did when she couldn't bring herself to hurt the Nowhere King. but he's whole again, he's every terrible part of himself in the body of one centaur. she loves him and she hates him and she pities him and she is ready to be rid of him and his poison at last.

she is ready to put him out of his misery.

at last.

she hesitates, for just a moment- squeezes the tears away from her eyes- and then she does it.

everything she loved, everything she hated.

she kills him.
