More of fat Nomiya from REAL
In volume 13 you can spot him in chapter 74 munching on chips
Then you have to wait for volume 14 for him to reappear by chapter 80
Shout-out to this panel where a guy point out how big he got

Found the beginning of the "fat Nomiya" arc - it is indeed in volume 12 but by the very last chapter of it (chapter 72) where we see him back for two panels and discover that he gained 15 kilos mostly due to stress-eating while waiting for the results of his try-outs to join the basketball team... Results which took a very long time to arrive and still aren't there by the time of the chapter, hence why he had a lot of time to stuff his face.
It might not seem obvious that he gained weight but you can compare it to how he appeared in the previous volume, volume 11
Chapter 61 (first chapter of volume 11)
Chapter 66 (last chapter of volume 11)
I didn't have time to look for pictures yet, but I discovered that there's a male weight gain in the manga "Real". You might have heard of it, it has been a prized and awarded manga about the daily life of three teenagers whose life are massively changed by various brutal events (car accident, bicycle accident, sudden disease). One of the three main characters is Tomomi Nomiya, an 18 year old delinquent (at least when the manga began, back in 1999 - it got 16 volumes currently and I think the series is still not over), and I know that over the course of the series, after he failed at the try-outs to join a basketball team he wishes to be part of, he stopped sport altogether and ended up gaining weight - fifteen kilos in total. A sudden change which makes sense as apparently Tomomi pointed out he had a natural tendency to fluctuate easily in weight, and as a kid used to be so overweight people nicknamed him "Fat Tomo".
I heard that the weight gain can be seen in volume 15 apparently? So I'll need to check this out.
EDIT: Nope, by volume 15 he is already on his way, mid-way through slimming and losing his extra-weight... Other sources claim he got fat by volume 12 rather, so I'll keep this updated.
EDIT 2: So apparently not only did Nomiya gain weight by volume 12, but people say he gained back the weight he lost during his training session for before the try-outs... So maybe he got bigger before? I will definitively need to check out the entirety of the manga somehow... Ah that's always the trouble with long-running manga

And that's where my profile picture comes from.
I am still sad we didn't get more male weight gain in this manga... I don't know if the author dropped the idea of having Naoe also gain weight from time to time altogether, or if they just will do it one day... Because every time I checked back and it seems they tease a new weight gain situation for the guy, and then pfffit, nothing happens and it is just more and more and more obvious and extreme female fanservice...
Anyway at least we got these early ones. Fingers crossed that a new fat Naoe may be on the horizon...
... one day...

And here we go…. This is my ALL TIME FAVORITE DRAWING from Elf-san wa Yaserarenai. Naoe at his biggest and fattest. Gosh, I can stare at this picture all day.

I still love the drawing
What`s your opinion on Yugioh! ?
Hooooo boi I used to frickin lovvveeeee YuGiOh. I remember when it came out, I immediately fell in love with the art style. It was the one anime my family let me and my brother watch on Toonami. I was too young to play the game but I relentlessly tried to draw Yugi. However long story short, my brother got a Yami costume for Halloween. The mask was so fucking terrifying that I immediately stopped watching the show. (example down below)

When I was 14 I tried picking up the show randomly at YuGiOh 5Gs but I was so lost…… sorry for the childhood horror story btw
As for my kink opinion on it, I really love the idea of Yugi and Yami sharing a stomach so to speak since they are sort of the same person. Yugi being a teenager, he’s bound to eat junk food an take out, and Yami being an adult has a slower metabolism. So while Yugi is a string bean, Yami has a lil bit of chub on him.

Alright so the first five volumes of the original Bachi Bachi series are available for free there! I checked volume 5 and I immediately remembered why I had not pushed the investigation further back then.
Bachi Bachi had not just one but TWO sequels, making it a full trilogy. And you can actually see from the covers and designs that the protagonist doesn't ACTUALLY grow fat. He does gain weight and size and becomes larger and bigger than when he begins - but it is all in muscles. Unless someone corrects me, there's no actual significant weight gain in there.
If you want a famous sumo manga where the main protagonist DOES gain weight, check out Hinomaru Sumo. Sure it is like a VERY very slow burn getting of some pudge for our boy, which requires a timeskip across this very long series, but he still begins with narrow hips and rock abs to end up with a curvy abdomen, thick waist and cute love handles. (Plus there's Terahara who over the timeskips grows WAY too fat for his good and his sumo training, and is actually forced to lose some weight to keep being on the team)

This Bachi Bachi manga is available to buy on bookwalker (also, some of the volumes seem to be free at the moment for a limited time)
Thank you very much!
I have an old Book Walker account I will use to get the free volume and go see about it (I unfortunately lack the money to spend on an online manga I am not even sure contains ACTUAL weight gain - but maybe I collected enough points to go check some of those for free!)

Going back through my old blog
This was an ask about a manga that went on from 2009 to 2012, called "Bachi Bachi", about a young man suddenly switching sportive career to become a sumo fighter. It was apparently very popular, even got a sequel "Bachi Bachi BURST" and yet... It seems I can't find any link to read it online? Is it one of those many mangas that the Internet completely missed?
(It is possible - I have at home some mangas that were translated in Europe and yet that are completely absent from the Internet, fanscans or otherwise)
Diculpa podrias hablar de un manga de aumo hablado mochi bachi bachi donde el prota pasa de una persona normla a un sumo
This would be a question for @thefatisland and you are quite lucky that I took Spanish classes as my second foreign language X)
I'm going to take a look and see if anything is interesting - but on @thefatisland, this blog is closed

It still has not been found to this day X)
Around 1990-1996 I have seen an Asian animated series with belly expansion like Wicked.(Not sure that China or Korea). In this episode, Villains stolen a milk truck and they poisoned these milk then 4-6 boys are jogging near this area. Boys found poisoned milk and drank it. Then they feel strange. One boy found his belly enlarge and others are also. Anyone know the name of this animated series?
I remember you! Or rather your question - I remember seeing it on "The Big Cartoon Wiki". Guess you had no luck there? Anyway I'll just post this in case people know something about it

This is the stupidest question but: Does anybody knows where I can find the full version of Yuta's "Cavity Prevention Day" add?
For those of you who don't know, there's this short-lived anime called "Kiznaiver" and one of the characters, Yuta, used to be fat as a kid. Like VERY fat. It is discovered through an ad he made as a kid for Cavity Prevention Day (it's a thing in Japan), and that is still around by present day.
Now we only see in close-up, in the anime, the upper part of the advertisement:
But we know (and see) that the poster has a larger picture. In wide shots of the room it is in, we see the full poster - though from far away and sideways so that it is not clear what it looks like.
Why am I wondering about the "full picture" of this ad? Because, again that's so stupid, but there is a line that has been going around since Kiznaiver was released, as a girl breaks off Yuta's attempts at lecherously flirting with her with a "Your boobs used to be bigger than mine". Now my silly brain thought "Wait is that actually true?" and I looked back and hey - we never get to see the lower part of the poster up-close, the one with Yuta's famed "manboobs".
I wondered because the artists created an entire poster for the show and yet we never see it fully released anywhere else?
Now I DO know that this Cavity Prevention Day poster WAS released at some manga fest as goodies and bonus products, you know, stuff that you could buy at the Kiznaiver stand. Here are pictures of it from Japanese Twitter:
I just wondered if anybody knew if the actual art was somewhere around the Internet?
Even on what seems to be the official collecting card set, you only have the upper part of the poster:
#again this is like the stupidest question#but i just thought about it and this is the only place i think i can ask the question#i didn't even get into kiznaiver for this#i genuinely started the anime out of curiosity and the beginning offered so much#but it felt like a nonsensical letdown by the end...

Look up “Levelling up With my Isekai’d Abs”. You’re welcome.
For those of you that don't know about it, it is apparently about a talented martial arts fighter who however could never manage to get rid of his flabby abdomen - he doesn't have a gut per se, but he clearly has noticeable flab, that he usually hides under some sort of belt-corset since the rest of his bony is all toned and fit and muscular... And he needs to get "isekaied" to another dimension to finally be able to get abs.
This actually isn't really my kind of thing, but someone people here might enjoy this - those who prefer tiny bellies over big ones.

Someone brought up the manhwa "No Way Vampires Don't Exist" so I thought of making a small post about it. You probably heard of it before - it has been going around, as this story (about a guy who ends up co-living with five vampire brothers) has a fattening up subplot (the vampires can't "feed" on the guy if he is of a too small weight, so they need to get him fattened up before). This sub-plot pops up in two chapters mostly - chapter 6 where the brothers first force-feed the guy way too brutally (before convincing him to enjoy being fattened up) and chapter 12 where the guy reaches his goal of 71 kilos...
And it's cute and all but unfortunately after chapter 12 it is totally dropped out, and of course despite the protagonist having gained weight he still looks like one of those breadsticks that form the basic manhwa "pretty boy" design... I mean again, it's a manhwa, so having "pretty" or "main" characters ACTUALLY get fat is a pretty "recent" move, something that would have been unthinkable before... But at least if you want to check out the story, it has nice context, a cool idea and it is cute to see the guy get all giddy and happy at the idea of gaining fat and being fed by other boys. A nice scenario for those that are into vampire characters: have them be feeder so they can, in turn, feed on their fattened-up companion without endangering them...

I said it before but I REALLY like the design choices and artstyle for fatness in "My life as a loser 2". I posted about some points about the "Lookism shared universe before", but this specific manhwa is a MASSIVE upgrade compared to the grotesque caricatures of Lookism, and you actually see how the artist clearly based on design on actual fat people and real-life fat bodies. Many panels are basically drawn copies of actual human anatomies of overweight and fat men - and it feels good.
In fact I am quite surprised it is part of the Lookism universe given how opposite those two manhwas were in depicting fat bodies. Photo-realism in one and ugly chibi in the other.
#fat manhwa#i like this so much i might actually go collect pictures of it#it will take time because FRIGGIN MANHWA SCANS CUTTING OFF RANDOMLY EVERYWHERE#but it is kind of worth it#at least for me
