Anyway in one of my education classes we’ve been studying stress and, according to multiple studies, killer stress actually damages the telomeres on your chromosomes (the end parts that hold your chromosomes together so they don’t unravel) and it turns out that those studies also found that coming together with a group of people who deal with similar stressful circumstances to your own (i.e. living with mental illness, trauma, chronic illness, raising a child with any of the above, etc) and talking about your experiences, especially through complaining and (dark) humor and just knowing that you aren’t alone in your experiences and feelings, actually reverses the effects of killer stress and repairs the damage done to your telomeres So I’m not saying that joking with people who have similar stressful experiences on tunglr dot hell is beneficial but that’s exactly what I’m saying

Four years after a Pokémon joke, this woman married the man behind the bookstore Twitter account

It all started in 2012, when Victoria Carlin tweeted at Jonathan O'Brien after he tweeted a Pokémon joke from the Twitter handle of the Waterstones UK bookstore, where he worked as a social media manager.

The two then decided to purchase a cabin in southern Maine, where they proceeded to engage in a five-day boinking marathon before tying the knot at an elaborate, Pokémon-themed destination wedding ceremony. Jk! It took a little longer than that.
