The time has finally come for Christine and Emily to face up to what they did last summer. Or the summer before. Or the one in the ‘90s. You know, LAST summer? Title issues aside, we’re finally tackling the forgotten trilogy–that’s right, there are three of them. 1997’s I Know What You Did Last Summer, 1998’s I Still Know What You Did (the summer before) Last Summer, and the forgotten blast of weirdness that is 2006’s direct-to-DVD I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer. Seriously, the third film is bananas. We go into depth on all three, as well as Lois Duncan’s 1973 young adult novel. Watch ‘em all and have a listen, then read Christine’s take on the conclusion! https://certifiedforgotten.com/ill-always-know-what-you-did-last-summer/

Get ready to stain your finest prom dress with a whole lot of blood as Christine and Emily dive deep into a perfect match of films about gloriously unwound teenage girls in love: 2024's Lisa Frankenstein and 2009's The Loved Ones. Content warning: there are some bad attempts at Australian accents. Have at it!

Come duck and cover with us! It’s a celebration(?) of the apocalypse as Christine and Emily make room in their bunker for a pair of post-nuclear missile movies streaming on the Criterion Channel. Up first is 1961’s The Day the Earth Caught Fire, directed by Val Guest. They follow that one up with Lynne Littman’s Testament from 1983. Opinions vary! Come share yours over on Instagram (@feminine_critique_pod) or Facebook via our group. Also, don’t forget to learn radio!

It’s the year-end list you’ve all been waiting for (kind of). Christine makes her triumphant return to join Emily as they walk through their favorite stuff of 2023. There are movies that came out (They Cloned Tyrone, May/December, Bottoms, Hell House LLC, Totally Killer), movies a year(ish) after they came out (Women Talking, We Are Going to the World’s Fair, Shiva Baby, She Dies Tomorrow), movies many years after they came out (Tampopo, Rope, Copycat, The 4th Floor, Dark Angel), books!, and much, much more.

Christmas may have passed, but the season can't really be over until Emily meets Santa Claus. AND THIS TIME IT'S IN THE FORM OF NORM! It's the season finale through 2012's The Merry In-Laws, streaming now on Tubi and starring George Wendt and Shelley Long. We follow that up with a season 9 recap, ranking the films and remembering the highs, lows, and peacoats. So. Many. Peacoats. Thanks for joining this season!

Break out your winter hot pants! It's a warmer holiday trip down south with Brazil's Christmas Full of Grace, a wacky holiday romcom that will give you dangly earring inspiration like you've never seen. You can find it on Netflix and you SHOULD. Emily is aided tremendously in this human raccoon hunt by the fabulous Carol Borden of The Cultural Gutter. It's joyous in every direction. Hallmark gets serious (though the coffee cups stay empty). Emily is joined by Head Hauntress Elizabeth Katheryn Gray for a dive into the 2022 Hallmark movie My Southern Family Christmas, starring the one and only Bruce Campbell (playing dad to a character NAMED Campbell, just to be confusing). It's shockingly touching and kind of...good? Be sure to check out Elizabeth's many projects, including the Archivists Bet On Sexy Witches radio show! Break out the bagpipes and heat up that haggis: it’s a Merry Scottish Christmas! Emily teams up with blogger/podcaster/Scottish duke Kevin Matthews for a walk through the 2023 Hallmark Channel production, the reunion of Party of Five siblings Lacey Chabert and Scott Wolf. There’s lots of discussion about Scottish land politics, peacoat packing logistics, and how two dead grandparents + one dead uncle + one dead potential father-in-law does NOT add up to a dead wife. Be sure to catch more Kevin: Raiders of the Podcast: https://raidersofthepodcast.blogspot.com/ For It Is Man’s Number (blog): https://foritismansnumber.blogspot.com/
