The flag of our nation
By Atticiam & Kentsington
Mine own eyes have seen the first sunrises over our homeland
When our tribe from Corea found a new nation east of the shores
It is this island where greys brood with firefoxes
And dragons rest on the four corners of the seas
It is my father who found this everlasting kingdom evermore
I was still a young boy when he searched for his mother, Amaterasuâs flag
He searched far and wide from the southern islands
All the way to Hokkaido in the most northern part
It was a twelve year journey where he traveledÂ
The distance and breadth of The Sea of Japan
And I was weeping softly when he brought the Sun Goddessâ banner home
It is this very island where we all stand today
That The Morning Star was blown to the shore
So this virgin island is without blemishesÂ
Like the virgin snow that falls on our Sacred Mountain
It was on Mount Fuji where my grandmother
Our Great Goddess of The Red Sun
Where she flew back to heaven
But she left our tribe without a nation
Without a king to lead his people
So we cried to her son bring us a unifying flag
The very flag of Our Great Goddess of The Red Sun
Will be the flag of our nation
After twelve years of tears and toils that the rain and storm would envy
It was east of Mount Fuji where The Flag Of The Sakura Principalities fell from heaven
And my father cried to his mother
Thank you, loving mother
You have brought us a nation
You have brought us a kingdom
This will be our flag from henceforthÂ
âtil today is time immemorialÂ
