A few things we have coming up! Happy to announce we will be playing Woopsie Fest in St. Louis! So excited to play with an insane amount of our friends and hopefully meet new ones! We have been writing LP2 over that last few months, and as soon as we have completed renovating our studio, we will begin recording! Also plan on hitting the road again this late summer/fall/winter! Keep an eye out also for a few splits in the works. CANNOT wait for all this, and mostly, for all of you to hear new music and be on the road again!

We're home! And what a wonderful tour it was. Thanks endlessly to all the incredibly kind people we met, everyone that came to a show, bought something from us, offered us your floor, and made us feel at home. We made so many new connections and friendships on this tour and it's truly an honor and a privilege to have been able to do so. We plan on being back through the Midwest in March/April. So we'll see you again!

For the last several months we've been working on a small EP that we are extremely proud of. The EP will be three songs, and titled "American Dissonance." We see it as a huge step forward for us musically and lyrically, and we're as happy with these songs as anything we've ever put together as a band. The EP will be released for free download via our Bandcamp on January 15th: www.thefoxery.bandcamp.com
We're so happy to have new music for your ears, and hope you enjoy these songs as much as we do! Our bandcamp currently has a teaser for the artwork in the heading (Done by the raddest of the rad, Harrison Hickok) that we hope will hold you over until Friday. Stay tuned and thanks in advance for caring/listening!

To David Bowie
I haven’t logged onto Tumblr in at least 6 months, but I feel like I need to tell my story of Bowie, and how it relates to The Foxery. I scrolled through about ten posts on the dashboard, and 7 of them were about Bowie, so I realize this is just another of millions of posts that will be made today, but I still feel compelled to do so.
I grew up in the late 90s, early 2000s, and all the rock music I heard always felt so macho and show-offy and hollow, even if at the time I wouldn’t be able to vocalize it that way. I found punk rock. It was vulnerable, emotional, and most importantly, as weird as your imagination would allow. I found that box that I fit into, and I stayed in it. It wasn’t perfect, but it was comfortable, I accepted that as my identity.
A few years ago I started working at a record store and found Bowie. I never heard much classic rock growing up and sadly missed out on so much music. But none saddens me as much as Bowie. To think I could have spent my whole life listening to him instead of just the 2 years since I found him. He was the punk rock I always wanted. And he showed me that identity is not a constant, you can always change who you are.
As much as I always connected to and loved punk rock, it still had elements that I couldn’t fully relate to. It’s aggressive, and violent, and angry, emotions I’ve just never felt very strongly. But I never questioned it, I assumed to find the artistic, cathartic, emotional music I wanted, it had to be punk rock. But Bowie was all that. He was everything I wanted from punk, but beautiful and poppy and all these things I never even knew I wanted. Most importantly, he actually lived what I consider to be the most important aspect of punk, no rules. Ever. He spent 50 years doing what he wanted when he wanted how he wanted. Success or admiration be damned.
So while we may not be a band that sonically has a lot in common with him, I feel we have so much to owe to Bowie. I love constantly reinventing ourselves, being a spectacle live, and doing everything the way want, whether it’s conventional or not. Aesthetically what we are and strive to be has so much in common with him, even if at the time I joined the band I didn’t know it. He’s one of the artist that have touched EVERYTHING in music even if you’ve never heard his music.
Since finding him two years ago I started going through his albums chronologically, and now I’m going to go a bit slower. Because it’s so sad that when I catch up to him and get to his latest album, I won’t be meeting him during the race, but it will be the finish line. Thank you for everything you’ve given us, this is honestly the first time in my life a celebrity death has actually shooken me up, and I know tons of other people around the world are feeling the same way.

We are finally home. And it's so bittersweet. This has been one of our favorite tours. Thank you so much to every person who came out and listened to us. Thank you everyone who just hung out and made us feel welcome in your town. Thank you for every person who let us sleep on your floor, your couch, hotel room, barn loft! Your kindness will never be forgotten. We appreciate every one of you because you are the reason we do this and the reason we are able to. I don't even know how to sum up our feelings for Our Lady. They are some of the best people we know. It was truly a pleasure to play beside them every night. To hear such talent. It was amazing to get to know them and spend time together. They are some of the best people we know. I hope we do many more shows and tours with them. But for you reading this. Like their page. Listen to their music. And they have a new album coming out soon on Mayfly Records and I've heard it and it's phenomenal. https://www.facebook.com/ourladyband/ We're home but we're not stopping. We have lots of new music coming. Some we're wrapping up. And some we're starting to write. We will keep you posted, but we are super excited about what's coming! - The Foxery
