This has been on my mind for long but I’m gonna do this - please reblog this if you’re comfortable with pre-establishing relationships. I do not mean “met at the grocery store two weeks ago” or “have a common friend”, but rather stuff like “have been best friends since kindergrden”, “go for a beer every friday”, “friends with benefits”, “dated in highschool”, “hate each other’s guts because -insert reason-”  etc. Something meaningful (but not necessarily shippy) and I mean with muns/characters you have not interacted with, because I cannot believe I am the only one who prefers jumping right into the heart of the human interaction.

I'm mostly rambling to the air, don't mind me, but what I find personally fascinating about writing Z in this universe is that I can unabashedly say he both is and believes he falls into the Pure Evil category, and YET —

I say and yet because there was a person before the voidsent. There was a man. A flawed but very human man; one who had his own dreams, aspirations and beliefs. He wasn't a selfless man (he was incredibly selfish in a lot of ways), but he wasn't a bad man. My personal interpretation of the Thirteenth twisted the world into something that was very dog-eat-dog, something he adapted to easily, but he could have kindnesses. He did, for a time. Aryele wouldn't have loved him if he didn't.

I have the song Identity Crisis on his playlist. It's probably one of the major reasons I decided to make Z a pianist. But more crucial to that, I think the rare times he permits a reprieve from the theatrics... he's lost. There's a part of him that doesn't want to know what came before; he doesn't want to know the man, less the man know him, and what might that man find? What might he find when he looks deep enough?

If doesn't enjoy the hunt and the hunger, then what's left? Just a silhouette of a girl in white dripping crimson on the floor.

Pure Evil

{Yeaaaaaaaaaaaah, that's fairly accurate for C'allie. Unless whoever she's dealing with is a Problem That Needs a Permanent Solution, such as individuals in her spouses' past that caused them pain. There's no sportsmanship in that case, only swift death. And if it's a job she's taken, she's efficient, going for the fastest and easiest kill. Personally, C'allie is all about the fair fight and thoroughly enjoys them.}
