It would be queerbaiting if they alluded that actual representation would be happening eventually and used that to gain viewers, but that's not what happened. There was instead a growing body of (possibly accidental) transfeminine subtext, which was then prevented from being made explicit. The fact we have a storyboard with a trans flag which got removed in the final episode should tell you that the writers/storyboarders wanted to make the subtext explicit canon, but that Disney said no. Queer people being removed from a show before it airs is not queerbaiting. It's censorship.

I translated just the end of the support, as it’s the only thing that differs. Gotta love how the official translation tried to find all the ways to avoid them saying they love each other, instead rephrasing it to how they will bake for each other.

Censure once ‘’I love you’’ and I call you out.

Censure it twice and I call it intentional.

Censure thrice and now look what happened! Some queer (Me) that has studied Japanese for 3 years is translating these supports.

One time a friend told me that if she wanted to have a chill night she would come to me and ask for tea and a book to read. For a year he made sure to peel me one at least once a week. Once my friends gave me a made up superlative of “most likely to have a pen they could borrow” and ever since I’ve made sure I always carry a pen with me. A long time ago, my high school librarian told me that no one would care what my grade in my sophomore chemistry class was if I’m bringing them doughnuts and asking them about their day.
