Probably bad fps weapon ideas
A revolver that's actually a break action single shot firing .50bmg
A flare gun loaded with a 40 mm grenade
A pump up water gun that sprays napalm. Aim button throws a match
A minigun loaded with bb pellets
A sticky hand that grabs and steals your opponent's equipped weapon
An abomination of 3 guns haphazardly welded together that all simultaneously fire at an out of sync and erratic rate
An rpg loaded with a wizard staff that casts random spells
A regular, no gimmick m1911 in a game full of absurd fantasy guns
A hand cannon loaded in tank rounds
A double barrel ak loaded in buckshot. Instead of break action, you load the shells in the ejection port

Another game idea, and another old one
I actually came up with this idea in a high school ag class while dicking around with a nail gun
Another fps(these 2 ideas are my only fps ideas i swear) where all the weapons are repurposed tools and construction equipment.
So the story is a simple backdrop for the gameplay, but i still wanted to include it here. Game takes place on an alien planet that humanity ditched, leaving all their shit and robots behind. Robots became sentient for reasons, and made their own civilization on the planet. Eventually, they started exploring human culture, which lead to them finding old arena shooter games. Robots had the idea to make these games a reality, where they could just upload their consciousness into a new body after death to "respawn" after dying, and repurposed their tools they used to build human cities before they left into weapons, which they already did to defend themselves. With time, this arena shooter idea became an expensive but popular extreme sport called Demolition Zone
As for gameplay, it's your typical arena fps. Free for all, tdm, ctf, koth, all that. The main differences are in the weapons and the maps
First is the weapons. All weapons are tools and construction equipment repurposed as a weapon. A high pressure nail gun, 2 staple guns rocked like akimbo pistols, a kitbashed buzzsaw buzzsaw set up like a crossbow, a jackhammer that fires the head, etc. But the main gimmick is that everything has a secondary purpose. Nail guns can be used to pin physics objects so they can't move, the jackhammer's shots have massive knockback, sawblades can be stuck into walls as a temporary platform, that kind of deal. Secondary weapons are pure utility, like speed squares you can throw like shurikens and stick into walls like sawblades, or one of those large tape measures that are on a frame with a grip having a motor slapped on it and converted into a makeshift grappling hook. Even melees have utility, like meleeing a wall with a crowbar to hook the ledge for an extended clamber, or a steel beam that allows you to jump after attacking to pole vault with it. Every weapon is designed to have unorthodox secondary uses for mobility options
As for the maps, they're all based on different environments. There's city slums for the robots, half built/ruined hu.man cities, and alien wilderness. The different environments have different interactive parts, like the human cities having working elevators and construction equipment that players can interact with, or the wilderness maps having wild animal npcs as an independent party that attack all players
Long idea, prob one of the first ideas ill start work on once i get a decent pc

Yknow what we need more of? Characters with asymetrical weapons. And not like some 2 slightly different swords shit, like 2 entirely different classes of weapons
I wanna see shit like some knight slinging a bigass greatsword over their shoulder and pair it with a dagger ds3 farron greatsword style
I need to see a spear/halberd 1. Actually used at all, and 2. Used with something else
Probably my favorite pairing is a bearded axe and am estoc. 2 completely polarizing weapons, one's a rough and heavy crushing weapon designed by nordic raiding parties to save on resources, and the other's a light and nimble weapon designed for war but also used in dueling. They play off each other well, one being great up close with raw force and excels at crushing armor, while the other is a longer range, more nimble weapon designed for piercing
What we also need more of is unorthodox weapons that don't fit a character's theme, like a king who doesn't use a sword for fighting, but hurls spears like javelins, or your typical frail old man with a staff wizard who has a full size hunting crossbow slung on his back. I just want more weapon variety in fiction

Just remembered I have a Tumblr account, gonna post some ideas for video games i've had
I've had this idea for a couple years for an fps called Cafe Warfare, main idea is an fps food fight.
All weapons are food themed, like a shotgun that fires packets of ground beef called the meatshot, a bubblegum minigun that slows targets on hit, a soda can for a grenade or a bottle for a trip mine, a catapult that launches cabbage artillery, a handheld cannon that fires literal grape shot, etc.
Typical fps modes, but all themed around around food. The theme is that the teams are local food chains caught in a gang style turf war for all the games. Instead of capture the flag, it's capture the formula. King of the hill is made to be fighting over the last available food stand at a fair, payload race would be 2 convoys of food trucks racing each other with players fighting on the roofs of the trucks and other passing cars, maybe in certain gamemodes cops would intervene as a threat to everyone shooting prison slop for their weapons
The whole idea is very tongue in cheek, with cheesy jokes throughout. It'd be especially nice on account of casual shooters being an abandonded market in favor of more competitive ones, so I'd like to see some more life in the genre
Might post more ideas tomorrow
