Wordpress vs Coding, my opinion...
I previously wrote about this, but I figure out I would be a good idea to explain my point of view. For me even thou Wordpress is. Great tool and helps us save a lot of working time. If you just settle with the basics options that Wordpress provide in relation to themes, there is not too much you can do to make your website outstanding while on the other hand ñ, when Programming your own Code, you can be as free as you want, adjusting everything just like you want it to be. This sense of freedom is what makes me choose regular coding over Wordpress.

My journey trough front end Programming so far...
At firts I have to say, I love the Programming process, the whole idea of building something from cero and transform it in a digital world its just amazing for me. I though it was gonna be easier but to be completly honest Its been a little more complex than what I expected. So far the HTML is not that complicated, once you understand the idea of organizing everything in boxes and seprators that will allow you modify it later on you kind of have the group set up. The CSS is not that har either, but the struggle started when I wanted to use grids... The space division is what has cost me the most...however, I've been making it work so what I will say at the end is... Its gonna be hard but its gonna be learned!

The creative process of developing your website.
So a couple of days ago I started to design the idea for my website, gave it a lot of tought on how I wanted to look like and made some research of similar pages to get some inspiration. Then it was time to start drawing! I downloaded Figma (this was my first time actually using the platform). I found out it was very easy going... And that all the abstract ideas I had on my mind, I could slowly put them in place in a simple prototype. I really think it was a great experience and its make the desining process easier. Thumbs up for prototyping!

As an agile coach, I think there are several good practice that makes this a good framework to work with. It will obviously depends on the project itself. But agile methodologies are a very good partner for programming.

I had some doubts about this and wanted to figure out which was the better option. In my opinion they both have their own advantages and disadvantages. But still its good to see what others think about it.

Whats the next step of a web developer?
So over the last couple of weeks I have been dealing with a lot of information of Programming, mostly on the front end side. I started from the very bottom and then started going up. Learned the details of elements, their functions and the way they should be used in order to make sure the Code is well written. I also went trough the styling process and learned a lot about the layout, making sure it is responsive to the viewpprt it is being displayed into. I saw the magic that can be done when using tools like Wordpress that would facilitate the job and sabe some time. And after I finished looking at that, I couldn't help to find myself looking into a whole world of different paths that can be followed in the programming world. Different languages, different functions and even different approaches into solving the same problems... It's kind of overwhelming at some point.... But what I guess is that there is no specific path to follow. The beauty of technology is that its constantly changing and evolving, so you have time to catch up or maybe with a basic background, jump into the new trend and start creating... So as for me this journey is just starting and there is a lot more like of codes to see and to write.

Starting from 0... or really not?
So, last week was our first Web Authoring lab. I was very anxious about what was going to be our task. The assignment was to create 3 basic webpages and to be honest, this first step was very easy to do. Luckily I had already done an online course on html that helped me understand quicker what was needed to be done and also the lecturer was very good at explaining.
The whole idea of opening and closing tags got me thinking all the time about how in psychology it´s very important to close cycles. If you don´t make sure to close a previous cycle in your life you are for certain going to mix things up in the next step you take. It works the same way with tags, make sure to close them while you are writing your code, if not you´re going to end up with a mess of title, head and body, which is going to become later on in long nights of brainstorming on how to solve the issue.
So from now on, in life and in coding... #CloseYourTags #TheGeekyShrink
