I do sometimes think about how we watched two middle-aged male pirates, covered in the blood of their enemies, run across a battlefield to throw their swords aside and make out, then turn around and go back to slaughtering British sailors. And it was, like, one of the most romantic scenes I've ever seen on TV.

I just realized that Ed had no reason to make Lucius count down from 1 hour 47 minutes BACKWARDS except for the dramatic effect of the final countdown during uh oh time's almost up what are you gonna do TIME FOR A NEW IDEA STEDE (although Stede's not even conscious when Ed makes Lucius start counting, so Ed doesn't know precisely what is going to happen at this moment, he just knows there's going to be SUSPENSE then he's going to knock Stede's socks off by revealing his brilliant tactical mind).

Ed Teach you are such a drama queen, and you are already so smitten.

the year is 2048 and i am lost in the woods looking for my third season of ofmd . I have morphed into a grotesque gollum-type creature who haunts the locals. and rhys ends up talking about me on his cryptid podcast

I think if Ed tried to give Stede a blow-by-blow playback of his memories of the gravy basket, it wouldn't be able to progress very far, because Stede would get so upset about the Hornigold in Ed's brain making him sleep on a shitty little bed on the dirt that he'd need to go take a walk to calm down.

Ed would be like "babe it was my own brain. It was just me doing that" and Stede would be like "I'm gonna find that man and kill him so fucking hard, Edward." Ed would be trying to actually open up about what the whole gravy basket vision meant in terms of metaphors but Stede would just keep taking it very literally and getting increasingly upst about it
