I had no idea it was coming, but frankly, when Paris kissed Rory, I didn't even flinch. Wasn't even top 10 gayest things she had already done. Arguably one of the straighter things, really.

It's kinda basic but I just can't stop thinking about how Gilmore Girls spends a lot of time on the plot of a romantically sought-after protagonist being fought over by a bunch of suitors and there is a character named PARIS just standing to the side making heart eyes at her??? And... nothing happens??? I don't think I've ever seen her name considered as in the Iliad rather than the city, but I do consider the existence of Rory/Paris to be a necessary and inevitable addition to the greater Thing that is Gilmore Girls. There's no universe in which it doesn't happen, even in timelines like ours where it was sabotaged out of the canon by the FBI.

Yes, I am aware that she has been called into the principal's office for having no friends. However, I, Paris Geller, am aware that everyone is secretly thinking about her all of the time! This is why she needs to volunteer to go to Washington D.C. with me.

i just think it’s funny how in the season 2 finale of gilmore girls, when paris is running for student body president and picking someone to run with her as her vice president based on their approach-ability/popularity she picks rory. even though we just saw madeline and louise and they are undoubtedly more popular. even though we’ve had entire plotlines in episodes center around how rory is not popular amongst her peers and makes no effort to get to know any of them. i just think it’s funny that paris geller, who would certainly know both those things, still immediately went to her.
