this pride, with the pull of people to horror movie in such higher numbers, remember one of the names that helped establish this genre: james whale
with frankenstein, bride of frankenstein, the old dark house, and the invisible man under his belt. an openly gay man in the 30s-40s (that's big!) who brought three of the biggest universal monster movies ever to the movie screens!!!!!!!

Best Things about The Prophecy (1995) Blu-Ray Extras
All the angel actors had to practice the "perch" so they could be fitted with harnesses that would make it easier to do so for long periods. Christopher Walken insisted he needed to "work on the perch." Then called the director in the middle of the night to say, "I'm perching."
Viggo Mortensen wanted Lucifer to pull a rose, thorns and all, out of his ass. They compromised, so you just can't see, due to the framing, that it came from his ass. They claim you can still see him wince in the shot though.
Because they hit an owl with a car, a storm with 70 mph winds kicked up, threw the set off a cliff, and almost killed a crew member.
Elias Koteas' wig is discussed, and during those high winds, he would scream, "HOW'S THE HAIR!?"
Amanda Plummer joined the cast just because she thought it would be fun.
It was Viggo's idea to speak to the Native tribe in their own language, because as Lucifer, he should be able to do that.
It was Walken's idea to tell the creepy story about how he put a finger to Thomas' lips and said shh.
Every time they mentioned that a shot from the back was actually the producer standing in for unavailable actors. Or a background character was a relative of the director. Basically I had no idea how cheaply they had to make this, because it looks too good to be that low budget.
Greg Widen, the director, still has the weird angel bible from the movie.
The producer who stood in for Viggo in the last shot of Lucifer stole that coat.
