I can picture Hannibal as submissive, but I can't picture Will as dominant. It's like Will has two states: a submissive, capricious puppy, and a disobedient, angry mongrel who will bite your hand off when you try to pet him. He's not dominant, he's just angry.

That tight expression, how he nods to Jack when he says he has a nice life there, as if he ever knew what sort of life was better for Will, as if he ever cared. And oh god, he tried so hard to be grateful for the luck he had to be accepted into a normal life, by a normal person. And to me it even looks like he feels guilty that he probably isn't as grateful as he should be.

He was living a good life there of course, but he wasn't alive.

once again thinking about the scene in season two where hannibal tells that guy "you might want to crawl back in there if you know what's good for you" looking pleased as he steps aside to reveal a pissed off will graham with a gun. why was that So Hot. hannibal is so eager to witness his husband's wrath its incredible

Sometimes I think about how Thorin Oakenshield’s only motivatiation to move forward is love. Despite his brooding and sometimes rude demeanor all his actions are a result of love. He is reclaiming Erebor for his family and people because he loves them. He refuses to give up on the idea that his father is just missing and not alive because he loves him. He takes every opportunity he can to kill Azog because he killed his grandfather, who he loved. He forces Kili to stay in Laketown when he was injured and lets Fili stay, because he loves them. He loves the gold into maddnesss. When he succumbs to gold sickness, his care for Bilbo leaks through, because despite trying to push him away, Thorin grew to love him so much that not even the sickness could change it. He leaves his gold sickness because he loves the company and did not wish to forsake them. His motivations to reclaim Erebor and avenge his people is because of his grief which is just love persevering.

He tells Bilbo to go forward in life. To go back to the things he loved. To “plant his trees and watch them grow”. To love his life and his home. To not stay stuck on the mountain where Thorin’s body laid but instead live past it because he loved him and did not wish for him to mourn his life away.

He killed Azog to avenge his people and his line, and Azog killed him in return. He died because he loved.
