I created “The Girl Gets God” because of how I felt one night in 2016. It was mortifying and a feel of shame. I realized there is a reason we release gone things, they can bring back those feelings. They can make us feel inadequate. I told myself that my university chapter had to stay like that...unbothered. 

I release every person that I have ever hurt and that has hurt me. But I cannot stay here. I cannot live in this inner place where the past can trigger these feelings. I failed at love many times but I give myself grace. I forgive myself.

Love has found me. It has. And I will open up my heart to it.

The words that are being said and the coincidences are leading you to the ultimate destination. You may think it impossible but it will come to pass.

The Girl Gets God

The Girl Gets God was created in 2015/6 when I was in a not so good place emotionally. I felt like I was so hard to love but the truth was ... I was not. In most cases, I was disobedient. I was not listening to the voice of God when he said do not go in that direction. I wanted what my heart wanted and I always learnt the brunt of the lesson. As a much older woman, I am still learning lessons but to a lesser effect, I hold myself to a higher standard. I have faltered in this pursuit of God and surrendering journey. I lost my sense of self and identity for a while ...

Girl, nothing is wrong with you. 

All along God was saying HE was not for you. 

A man who wants a woman does not need help, he pursues.

Dear God,

You see my heart. You know me inside - out. You know all my doubts. The things that inspire me... 

You are a God of peace. You are a God of love. You are a God of grace. I trust You. I trust Your plan for my life. Show me Your way. May springs in the desert. Help me to heed and yield to you.

This week, I think love will find me where I’m at. 

Love will show me that I deserve it. 

I just need to stay the course and be patient.

A new mindset. 

A new direction. 

A new goal.

I am THAT woman... christian,  confident, powerful, intelligent, sexy, gorgeous, loyal, go - getter, loving, trust - worthy, caring, amazing, ambitious, full of vision ...

I think I need to give myself more credit for always trying to meet and finish before deadlines, showing up when I say I’ll show and being reliable. I need to see my strengths... I am a great team player too (relationship and otherwise). I am an awesome hype - woman. Man... I love myself. I love the way God has made me. My traits and all that. All the creativity bursting through me!

Dear Love, 

I see you so visibly. I hear you so audibly. I feel you so tangibly. I know that you are for me. I am opening up my heart to all the glory of you. Love I see that you love me and believe in me. I see that you are proud of me.

New Day

Today is a new day. I will accomplish every thing I set out to do in a timely and efficient manner. I will have faith. I will push through. I will see the deadlines as opportunities of growth. I will have the reassurance that God will help me through. There is always a way ahead. There is beauty in the challenge.
