FESTIVE VIBES WITH MISSA MORE ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Hi guys!! How have you all been? Today's post is in collaboration with Missa More featuring this stunning ethnic front slit top with cold-shoulder. Cold shoulder has been the most popular style this year and fashionistas all around the world have been embracing this trend in all sorts of clothing. From dresses to tops to jumpsuits- cold shoulder can be spotted everywhere. So why should ethnic wear be left out? This top by Missa more is a fusion style that combines the ethnicity of indian wear with the cold-shoulder trend. This top has a raw silk kind of material and a zipper at the back. There is a golden border at the bottom hemline and also encircling the cold shoulder. The button detailing at front adds so much chic to the garment and the A-line silhouette gives it an elegant touch. I styled this look for Rakshabandhan but could not come up with this post earlier due to a lot of pending posts. The wedding season has also started and this outfit can be worn to a mehendi function or any ethnic occassion. Though the outfit is plain, the cold-shoulder and hints of gold make it look appropriate for any occassion. I styled this top with a golden palazzo and stilettos. I carried a golden mirror work clutch with the outfit and wore matching mirror bangles with it. To complete the look I wore a bindi (inspired by Katrina Kaif in her latest song 'Kaala Chashma') and a red lipstick. I also wore golden jhumkas with a red stone that matched really well with the outfit and was good to go. You can always accessorise such outfits as much as you want depending upon the occassion. SLINGING IT WITH LAVIE 👛 Hi guys!! Hope you all have been doing great. Today's post is in collaboration with Lavie, an affordable and trendy brand for women's bags and footwear. The role of accessories in alleviating the style quotient of an outfit cannot be ignored, and an appropriate handbag can really make any outfit look great. The first accessory that you can think of while styling an outfit is a matching handbag that can add oomph to the outfit. I can't think about moving around without a bag that has enough space for all my makeup essentials, phone, a pair of sunglasses, documents etc. I'm a person who is always on the go and needs a lot of things handy. ETHNIC BY KAARIGARI 💖 Hi guys!! Today's post is in collaboration with kaarigari studio boutique. Last week was all about festivities and I promised to do alot of ethnic posts. Though I have been posting a few ethnic looks on my instagram page, this is my first blog post on an ethnic look. Anarkalis pretty much took over the ethnic fashion scene a few years back and they are not going out of style anytime soon. Alot of variations of this style have been seen in the past- from front slit paired with trousers or an ethnic maxi skirt to the hi-low style paired with churidar or salwars. In today's post, I have a new style to show you that is the side slit anarkali. This anarkali karta from the Rakshabandhan collection of Kaarigari boutique, is absolutely perfect for festivals. It is so stylish yet subtle. The boutique allows you to get it customised in any colour of your choice. The fabric has a silken finish and the black and white patches on the neckline, hemline and sleeves adds so much elegance to the garment. When dressing up for an occasion like Rakshabandhan, which is mostly celebrated at home, it is important to not go too blingy. So an outfit like this that gives you a perfect mixture of ethnic, classy and simple comes in handy. The flowing silhouette of the anarkali makes it appear very elegant and it can be paired with a churidar, palazzos or skirts. I paired this side slit anarkali with black leggings and oxidised sliver danglers. I accessorised the outfit with a black clutch and wedge heels. BRINGING BACK THE 70s 💙 Hi guys, Hope you all are doing great. Today's post is in collaboration with Missa More featuring this 70s inspired look. The fashion scene this year has been highly inspired by the late 60s and 70s style. From wide pants to ruffles to puffed sleeves, everything has made a huge comeback. Palazzo pants that gained immense popularity during the late 60s and 70s, were designed particularly for the hot weather, so that the flowing silhouette keeps the wearer cool in the summers. The palazzo pants usually are high waisted and flare down from the waist area. I feel there's nothing more appropriate than loose clothing for summers. These blue palazzos from Missa More come with an added advantage of having a side slit along with being super loose and breezy. The high waist and broad bottom gives the illusion of longer legs. So if you aren't very tall, you would love this style as it adds up to your height. Another trend that has been picked up from the Victorian era, is the ruffled necks. The white ruffled blouse from Missa more has a ruffled layer all around. This makes your bust look fuller and gives you an illusion of broad shoulders. So if you are narrow at the top or have short legs, trying out this combination can really work wonders for you. To accessorise the look, I used a brown tote bag from Missa More and white rimmed sunglasses. To add some more retro touch to the outfit, I used a red lipstick and completed the look with black heels. I also wore golden butterfly tassel earrings with the outfit and curled my hair for a retro style. To add more colour to the whole look, I painted my nails yellow. Everyone, from celebrities to the girls next door, have embraced this trend so enthusiastically. I am totally obsessed with this trend at the moment and have been hoarding tops and dresses in this style. With the temperature soaring, I'm always on the lookout for stylish cotton clothes that can keep me relaxed in this humid weather. This white and pink printed maxi dress from Kaarigari is so summery and comfortable. Everything about this dress is so perfect for this time of the year- from the print to the fit to the flare to the detailing and designing- you can't help making it your best summer buddy. The dress is fitted till the waist and flares beautifully downwards. It really accentuates your curves and hides away all the lower body fat and the best part is that it is very different from the regular maxi dresses and has a very bohemian feel to it. KRAFTLY APP- REVOLUTIONIZING SOCIAL SELLING📲📲 Hi guys!! Today's post features a very interesting app called KRAFTLY that allows you to buy and sell things from home in a very convenient manner. E-commerce has really picked up pace in the last few years and selling through social media is a concept that is now gaining momentum. Earlier people had no option other than markets when it came to shopping garments, shoes, home decor etc. Then malls came into picture and people moved on to this more convenient option that provided all brands under a single roof and made shopping easier. Then came the concept of e-commerce, which gave the buyers freedom to browse through the collections on different websites from their computers or phones without having to step out of their homes. And naturally people embraced this option. With the frenetic pace of life in cities today, going out for shopping is a task in itself. If you get only a day off in the entire week, like me, you would not want to get ready on a Sunday and get stuck in traffic for hours to reach a mall to shop. So it's for people like us that online sites and apps have come as a blessing. A newer concept that is recently gaining popularity among homepreneurs is selling on social media. The sellers will be notified of the order on the app as well as through email and SMS, the product will be picked up and delivered to the buyer and money will be deposited in the KRAFTLY wallet of the seller and 5% fees will be charged by the app for the whole process. The app allows various payment options like debit/credit card and cash on delivery option is also available. Isn't it so so convenient?? There is also an option of creating your collections on the app where you can save the dresses or shoes or products that you like. PRINCESS WALK🌸🌸 Hi guys!! How have you been?? The Glitter Chic turned one and I want to thank you all for so much love and support during the past year. The weather is getting so humid with each passing day and I wish to wear only comfortable cotton clothing and nothing else. This top from princess walk is made from light cotton fabric and is suitable for this weather. Slit tops have been really trending this year, and this one comes with a front and side slits. It can be styled in many ways. You can wear it over a pair of denim shorts, jeans or dhoti pants and stay comfortable. In this look I tried to add a formal touch to the outfit by wearing it over white shirt and plaid culottes. The only accessories I used in this look are a pair of leaf motif brooches on the collar and cat-eye sunglasses. FLORAL LOVE IN MISSA MORE🌺 Hi guys!! Today's post is in collaboration with Missa More clothing featuring this really cool off-shoulder floral print dress. Floral print has always been a summer favourite and bright colours have the potential to uplift the mood on any dull day. If you have been reading my posts this season, you must be aware how obsessed I am with the off-shoulder trend (in fact everyone seems to be obsessed with it). So I guess you must have figured out by now that how much I am in love with this dress from Missa more. It combines two of the most favourite summer trends that is, off-shoulders and floral print. This dress comes with an adjustable white belt that tucks in the dress at waist area and gives a beautiful contour to the body. This dress is very comfortable unlike some of the short dresses. It doesn't stick to the body and is very easy to carry. The best part is that this dress is loose around the tummy area and it hides all my lower abdominal fat. I love to include as many colours as I can in my outfits, so this one definitely made me happy. I tied a golden chain choker around my neck and I was ready to enjoy my Sunday. I feel that the first impression that your clients (or in my case patients) form of you is solely based on how you dress up. Ruffled shirts and culottes are two styles that are totally trending at the moment and there's nothing that can look better than these two combined together. HOW TO WEAR STRIPES TO LOOK SLIMMER AND TALLER💁🏻 Hello fashionistas, How have you all been?? Stripes have always been a part of summer fashion scene. Nautical stripes are one of the most trending styles of this season and look super cool for a summery look. However, embracing the stripes can be a bit tricky at times and if not worn properly, it can make you look fat. So today's post is about the effect that different types of stripes can have on your body and also which stripes should you chose to create an illusion of a taller and slimmer body. Broadly, the stripes can be divided in 3 main categories- 1. Horizontal 2. Vertical 3. Diagonal Now all these patterns have different effects on your body type. Stripes is one style that you can use to create an illusion of the kind of body that you want to flaunt and hide your trouble areas. So I'm going to discuss all the three categories and the effects that these have on your body- 1. Horizontal stripes- The horizontal pattern usually makes your body look broader, so it should totally be avoided on your trouble areas. This kind of stripes work best for people with a narrow frame to give the illusion of broader shoulders. This is one pattern that you should totally avoid for your lower body as it can really make you look fat and completely break your outfit game. If you want to include this pattern in your wardrobe, go for darker colours. Also avoid wide stripes, as they make you look bigger and go for narrow ones. 2. Vertical stripes- The vertical stripes are great to narrow down your frame and their effect on the body is almost opposite of the horizontal stripes. This pattern is preferable for people with broad framework and creates an illusion of a slimmer body. Pair a vertical striped top with high-waist flared bottoms and you can instantly make your figure look slimmer and body look taller than actual. 3. Diagonal stripes- This is my favourite pattern as it can really be confusing to the mind and give an illusion of a slim body type and also add up to your height. The diagonal pattern comes in a great variety and can actually draw away attention from the areas that you want to obscure. It's an amazing way to lose inches around your belly instantly. Go for intricate and busy zigzag pattern around the trouble areas as it will conceal all the flab and give you a slim and tall look. In this look I'm wearing a maxi skirt with diagonal stripes that are converging towards the middle. This creates an illusion of slimmer lower body and makes my legs look taller. Also the prominent colour in this pattern is black, which helps in further giving a slimmer look. OFF COTTONS BY MISSA MORE💕 Hi guys!! Today's post is in collaboration with Missa More clothing featuring this beautiful "off-cottons" top by Missa More clothing. This maxi-cape top in off-White colour with floral print has every bit of summer feel to it. The fabric is very light with scattered 'chikan' work all over. The pants also have chikan detailing at the bottom. The outfit is really comfortable and easy to carry off in this weather. I completed the look with bright fuschia heels and beautiful pom-pom earrings. I carried a multi-coloured clutch to compliment the print on the top. The temperature is soaring in Delhi and travel is on everyone's wish list. NOTHING TO FEAR💃🏻 Hi guys!! Hope you all are doing great. Today's post is in collaboration with Missa More clothing, featuring 'nothing to fear' maxi dress. This maxi has absolute summer feel to it and the colour is really soothing for this hot weather. This maxi dress is available in two colours on the Missa more website- one beige and the other one is a darker hue of magenta-purple. I chose this lighter colour for myself as it is really apt for this season. The maxi dress has a high ruffled-neck and comes with a broad black belt to accentuate the waistline. The material of the dress is a little glazed, which makes it appropriate for formal occasions as well. The ruffled neck style gives the maxi a subtle Victorian touch and makes it look very classy. You can wear this maxi without the belt also, but cinching the dress at natural waistline, with a broad belt makes your curves prominent and the dress flows beautifully below the waist. I wore this dress over the weekend. Since I styled it for a day look, I carried a black sling bag with it and wore my favourite pair of Missa More sunnies. I completed the look with black suede peep-toes and a dash of red lipstick. You can also wear this dress during the night and style it a little differently by carrying a clutch instead of the sling bag and doing a smoky eye look along with loose curls.
