The lontong here is quite good. I’m not going to say that it is really good or really bad, so it’s just in between. To be honest, I really like lontong ever since I was a kid. Speaking of a kid, before this shop was taken over by a current owner, there used to be a Malay makcik who sells really really good lontong but due to her old age (maybe?), she can’t handle it on her own anymore. Growing up eating her lontong when I used to stay in that area (it was prior to moving to a new town where I am now) in 2000, therefore, some time ago, probably a month or so ago, she decided to let go her shop. So, for now, her shop has taken over by another Malay makcik, it could be her cousin, maybe. It could be her friend, maybe. It could be a stranger, maybe. Who knows. I didn’t want to ask much. I have not really looked into best lontong as of now. But if you know any, please let me know. I didn’t know there was Marry Brown in Singapore at the moment. *facepalm* Aside from their first outlet in Sentosa, they’ve have announced that they are opening soon their second outlet in Wisma Geylang Serai! Please guys, don’t mistake “Wisma” for Wisma Atria. I am referring to Wisma Geylang Serai. I was thinking of what to eat for dinner when I was at Tekka yesterday evening. I had a few options; Nasi Briyani, Idly, Chapati or Thosai. I remember that I was craving for Thosai a few days ago so since there were so many stalls selling Thosai, I really can’t choose. So finally, again yet another food review. Exploring for affordable good food can be challenging but I just keep going back to the east side for food. I had Mee Kuah for lunch today. One of the most popular places to get your Mee Kuah. I’m talking about Al Mahboob Indian Rojak. I had Nasi Ayam Sambal for lunch today. Requested for breast meat. The food was great, however the portion didn't satisfy me. The soup was really good. The rice was too little for an Asian tummy like me. The portion for the shredded chicken given was little too. The sambal was slightly little this time. So, the next time I come here again, I will request for more rice, more shredded chicken breast meat and more sambal...and of course pay extra $ for it.
