our endurance ever grows! 22 minutes straight of running!! and it didn't even seem that difficult!
The most difficult part of that was trying to map out the route so that i was heading back down by the time i was meant to cool down
really hit my legs hard today though...leg day for weight training and hoo boy have i done a shitton of squats today. hoping i can still move tomorrow lol
i'm really enjoying the fairlife nutrition plan shakes as my post-workout protein. i'm thinking about buying a case every grocery run this month so that i have a stock saved up
wish there was a reputable 5k happening sometime soon...still on the fence about the 10k but. maybe signing up for it will force me to get my shit together lol

Sunday weigh in: 207.4 lb
i am truly hating my nose lately as i run lol. i blow it before i go running and then it's still full of mucus midway!!
i should maybe start storing tissues in the other pocket too lol
also the distance of this run brought me all the way around UHM this time--luckily my 8 min run portion ended before having to climb behind the business college
only a little bit worried for when i do finally start having to run consistently for upwards of 25 min...i guess that depends on my pace, but still
usually if they tell me i'm halfway by kennedy theater, i can go down the main mall...i wonder about doing some back tracking somewhere along the way? maybe do an S and go up university to come back down by the nursing school? idk i'll figure it out as i go
also, luckily i have until the end of june to decide to do the start to park 10k before the prices go up again
my right arm is still spasming when i'm putting body weight on it...i'll see about hitting it with the massage gun more often
i feel like once i maybe do the entire circuit of all my weight training videos, then i'll start focusing using the 7.5/incorporating the 10lb where it feels safe

it's been over 12 hours since, but GUESS WHO CAN RUN 20 MIN IN A ROW NOW BABEEYYY
going slow helps, breathing through my nose helps, both knees felt a little pain at some point but i managed to push through once i slowed down again!!
i'm so immensely proud of myself dude!! i would have never thought i could do that!!
also i did both yoga and weights today!! who is she!!
really fckin annoyed at the internet/my yoga app stuttering so much though. i forced the quality of the videos to remain at normal so hopefully that helps
i'm also allowing myself the grace of starting really low with my weights--i haven't strength trained in a long time, and i'm p unbalanced given how much my left side was worked from pt
anyway. i hope i can keep up this momentum in the coming months. i want to keep getting stronger. i want to have more endurance, stamina. i want to get faster, eventually
also. why tf are all the easier runs/marathons in the beginning of the year gdi lol. i'm interested in possibly doing the start to park 10k during the honolulu marathon though. maybe force it as a goal by signing up for it by the end of may...

lesson continued to be learned: fuckin take a shit before going to run, idiot
but WE CAN RUN 8 MIN IN A ROW BABEEEYYY
so long as the weather doesn't turn to ass...i think i feel safe attempting the 20 min run this thursday...
also! my glucose is normal levels! no more fear of being pre-diabetic! (so long as i keep up my stuff)
bad cholesterol is up though...gotta cut down on the red meat
i'm supposed to do weights and yoga today too but i'm sooooo lazyyyy (the rain/humidity isn't helping)
i need to get better at going to sleep earlier. my fatigue in the daytime keeps sapping any urge to workout after work
also need to get more consistent at fasting again...

Back at it again--not likely going to keep up on updating this because of my aversion toward social media as a whole most days
I'm able to run with my mouth closed, breathing only through my nose now. So that's cool!
I've also started taking a puff of my inhaler before going out to run--still unsure if that's helping, but i do find myself not nearly as burnt out as I usually would (though that may be just from forcing myself to go slow)
The 5 min blocks feel normal now. I'm not looking forward to the 8 min blocks in 2 weeks lol (if i keep to my planned schedule)
Started doing Beginner 2 yoga...scaled it back to Beginner 1 lol
Also added chest/shoulder as my second boost
And the pain in my left shoulder is p much gone!! I can move it around as normal!! Physical therapy is a godsend!!
Now I just gotta get the right side on the same level as my left now though lol
Haven't done any strength training this week yet though...hopefully will get some done today (was supposed to yesterday, but work fatigue got to me)

Exercises for all the homies who want to have a long career drawing.
The true problem with being an artist and drawing all day (as I wanted my whole life) is that human backs are not designed to hold that position, so it is very common for artists and designers to have really stiff shoulder blades, creating a chain of muscle strain towards the arm AND the back… and a lot of pain.
These are some physical exercises for artists and honestly anyone who works at a desk.
(all credit to my physiotherapist)

FIRST DAY DOING ALL THE WORKOUTS LET'S GOOOO (wow how sad lol)
I skipped day 2 of week 4 because...i just want to get to running for 5 min consistently already
Weights kicked my ass today, but it also incorporated a lot of legs (full body) so I'm not hugely surprised. Just haven't sweated like that during strength training in a while
My right bicep...deltoid?? Idk, I can feel it spasming when I'm holding myself up for a push up stance/holding myself up for plank for yoga...not sure what that's about
My legs are bound to be jello tomorrow...and I'm planning on attending Book & Music Festival both days so some added walking this weekend lol oops

First time I've had to quit out of a dumbbell workout due to pain from the SIRVA
Having to do push-ups followed by flyes over and over in small bursts for 10 sets...not ideal
To be fair, that entire workout was weird and I wasn't a fan of the short sets where you do only 3 reps
I used the massage gun on the area briefly and it made the pain go a way for a little bit...until I had to do staggered push-ups again. Then it actively hurt while doing flyes and I called it there when the next exercise were decline flyes
Again...I've taken that video out and changed in an older video with the structure I'm more used to
I think until I can get to the doctor to get it properly diagnosed and start any treatments, I'm sadly going to just have to remember to take Tylenol maybe an hour or so before doing dumbbells...and maybe prep myself with the massage gun as well

Monday weigh in: 200.4
Not bad considering how much I ate last week
Last week was a wash for some reason. I only managed one day to go out running
I think as we get closer to fall/winter, I'm going to have to re-evaluate whether going out to run at 5 am is still safe for me
I'm going to restart week 4 this week, then next week will be week 5 day 1 the entire week. Then the following will be week 5 day 2 for the first two runs, then head up to UHM and do my 20 min run on the third day
I think i really need to go see someone about my pain in my arms. I feel so stiff in both bicep/deltoid areas now and it's annoying and worrying
I'm hoping doing some cleaning today & tomorrow will help kickstart my desire to do healthy habits again
I have been good about drinking water though. so that's pog

UNDER 200 LB LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOO
Though the body composition did say what i lost was a lot of water weight lol. Body fat went up, skeletal muscle and fat mass went down, and overall BMI seems to have gone down a bit
Honestly not too sure whether to trust these measurements, but it's all I've got to go on for now
I don't know why I don't take progress photos of myself?? Hmm
Anyway, I need to keep up on drinking water (to help curb hunger) and logging my food (as well as continuing to buy salads)
I know my weight will fluctuate wildly, but if I can go a little longer staying under 200 lb, i'd be so fucking pumped and motivated dude
...this week's gonna be rough for running, just because we're back in office and i'm running a little longer this time (starting up the 5 min runs now)

I once again skipped a yoga and strength training day this week lmao
If I am at least consistent with my running, I think I'll be happy
I remembered my knee braces before yoga this time!!
My left arm continues to be so much weaker than my left...like, I was already wobbly during yoga but then strength training started with wide grip push ups and girl...I could barely handle holding myself
I'm hoping either this SIRVA goes away on its own (article I read said it may last up to 6 months...coming up on that i think)...otherwise I may consider going to a MinuteClinic or something to talk about my options or get a referral
The box for the weights broke today lol. But I duct taped it together...I'll do another pass at it sometime soon to reinforce it
I drank so much water today!! If I remembered correctly, I should be at 9-10 glasses today
I think that's what also helped curb my hunger today...I ate just 40 cal over my M-F calorie limit today and I'm like, peckish but I already started fasting so I'm just considering drinking another glass of water lmao

(Belated) Monday weigh in: 204.2
Skeletal muscle went up and fat mass/body fat went down...hope to continue this trend
Just barely made it out yesterday for workout--7pm is nice for the temp & darkness, but still too many cars around
Yesterday was the first time I ever had abdominal pain while running...I think i may have went running too soon after eating dinner, buh...I'll try not to do that again
But the 3 minutes have been not so bad!! I have to actively remind myself to go slow while I'm running (trying to max out at around 160 bpm) but it's been working to my advantage I think
I KEEP. FUCKIN. Forgetting to put my knee braces on before yoga. It hasn't been too much of an issue yet but uuugggh
I'm trying to figure out what rotation of secondary focus I want to do...because flexibility feels important enough to do it every other week. But i like the idea of having weeks that focus on chest/shoulders, core, and hip flexors
Maybe i don't need the hip flexors so much...I don't know if having a cycle of 6 things (chest > flexibility > hip > flexibility > core > flexibility) is too much for me to remember to do lol, because at least the weights are all in a row in the playlist
I managed to do most of my strength training yesterday with the 12 lbs...i think i might have to move up in weight sooner than i thought (which honestly, pog)
The box for the weights is also starting to rip so...yeah I ought to buy the A frame and 15 lbs soon
Also, running out of casein so I'll have to restock on that soon too (thank GOD it was because we actually used it and not because it got old)

Haven't been keeping up with my posts! I blame in-office work for that
Also forgot to do the monday weigh in lol
My knees/shins are starting to feel the slight pain of running a little bit more again. Been taking the glucosamine and calcium pretty regularly--hopefully that helps as time goes on
My feet are also hurting on runs now?? Like the outer part of my foot have been aching, gotta look into what that is. I'm wondering if I'm just not stretching my feet enough before I run
Early morning runs are POG actually, minus the fear of the sketchy people that may be around
Also running belt is mega POG, it slips a little bit but I'm not too terrified of it actually slipping past my hips. Plus i have it extended all the way so if it does start getting dangerously close to slipping, i can just tighten it
I missed one yoga and one strength training this past week. I'm learning how integral they are though (my back was killing me for missing that one yoga session)
Hoping the weather is a little more tame come Tuesday morning...
I ate at a deficit for the first time yesterday!! Like, under the calories allotted for the day, and not the added calories from working out!!
I'm reworking my greek yogurt bowl, but i think I can safely remove honey from it now that I have oreos as a sweetener lol
More smoothies!! More smoothies!! ...but i need to buy more blueberries already 😑
I've been so balls deep into r/volumeeating though, i'm hoping some of this actually sticks lol

Week 1 part 2!! Let's freaking go!!!
5:30 am is now too dark to go out for runs lol shit. I managed to get out at 5:45 and it was still sketchy kine dark, but not dangerously so (cars were already out and about)
Running belt still hasn't arrived 😑so I'm still using the armband
Further proof that I missed running: I started over the C25K program completely and i found myself wanting to run past the 1 minute intervals I was given lol
I think I'm inadvertently speeding up more than i used to though--average heart rate during running was ~160 (higher than when I was doing my 5 min runs)
shower after running is such a game changer
Trying out chia seeds with my greek yogurt...damn do those fuckers soak up water something fierce. 2 tbsp and some water in a glass and it was almost full after an hour lol
Forgot to put on my knee pads during yoga--will remember for next time (was rushing to get started after work)
Changed up my second boost from flexibility to chest/shoulder stretches, so we'll see if that helps my tight arms/shoulders
Though i think i went overboard with the strength training this time by starting myself on 10 lbs instead of 7.5 after so long--left bicep was not allowing me to do push ups at all lol
Will do casein tonight to help facilitate recovery, hopefully
I've missed this ❤️

I am hopefully coming back this week with taking care of myself and working out again
I did just meditate though and could not keep my sleepy brain from just wandering to other things...was a little hard taking deep breaths in too, for some reason
Monday weigh-in: 202.6
Weird that I lost weight without actually doing anything lol, and with buying food more often!!
We've been eating salad lately though, and i have unflavored greek yogurt this week. I'm also trying to do IF again with 16:8, but trying not to hold myself to it too aggressively
I bought more workout outfits and have sports bras coming in the mail, and this should hopefully counteract my stinky ass
I have been spending the loan money frivolously though...and thus can comfortably only buy the A-frame dumbbell rack
I'm not too pressed about the earbuds or the 2 15 lb dumbbells--I don't really need them yet and it was just a splurge urge (lol)
I also fixed up the fitness playlist on YouTube so i have my strength training set up by week, for 4 weeks
I've also started taking supplements for joint pain, hopefully that will help my knee pain as i get back into it
I've decided that i'm going to start the C25K over, but only do each week once as originally intended, until I get back to where i was
I may have to buy more casein soon, but we'll see
I have so much set up in my favor to get back on the wagon, i really hope I can make this work (esp with how much weight kemm has lost thus far)

I indeed gave up last week
I don't forsee myself working out this week either
But I really need to prioritize cleaning the apartment over everything else. I cannot allow cockroaches to take over the bathroom (which also smells like shit)
I do miss working out though. So that's encouraging.
I'm hoping to get a bulk of the things hindering my mindset done this week (fuck off, I'm wfh when everything in office is done, and I'm taking advantage of the jiggler and just doing safety checks every 7 min. Better than being too afraid to leave the desk at all)
James can sit and wait at work while I clean/get food sorted. If he really needs to come home he can find his way home.
And just a reminder to myself: we need to get in better shape endurance wise...because what if one day we do get to go to a ST show...I want to match that energy and not pass out from it
Please take care of yourself mentally. Then come back gradually. Please be patient with yourself. Please allow yourself to fail and to start over again, as many times as necessary.

Didn't do the Sunday update because I felt sick Saturday and was massively busy Sunday
Didn't do yesterday because I got discouraged with how poorly my progress is going
Monday weigh-in: 204.8
I went down by 0.2 lb. My skeletal muscle went down. And my body fat went up
It's fully my fault though. Eating over my alloted calories, being too lazy to track my food, continuing to eat shit that's terrible for me
Whatever bs happened to me on Saturday that caused my dizziness spell really fucked me up
Probably didn't help that I only slept 5 hours that night too
And the in office schedule is. Already becoming such a hindrance to me mentally, as well as time wise and fatigue wise
How the fuck am I supposed to have enough time to do all the cleaning and cooking I have to do, and also exercise after being in the office 8 fckin hours??
Just die I guess
I'm not in a great headspace and having to wait and pick up james from work is. Not helping.
I can't even be excited over being on week 8 of working out. Because I'm scared I'm not gonna get through it and give up because it feels like it's all for nothing and I'm just so tired of letting myself down but having to pick up the slack around me anyway
