Sketchbook
This is a video of my full sketchbook, showing my development and ideas throughout this project. I am really happy with the work I have been able to create this unit and I can’t wait to take forward all I have learnt.

Photoshoot

These are some of my favourite photos from the photoshoot we did on Friday, I’m really happy with the way these turned out and show off my garment.

BTS Photoshoot

Today I was lucky enough to work with a group of photography students to complete my photoshoot. It was such a thrilling and wonderful experience to be photographed in an actual studio area with people who work with cameras. I saw a couple of the photos and they look really great, I can't wait to see how they turn out.

postcards

In place of my press release, I think the use of these postcards is much more fun and celebratory of my collection. These are some designs which I have used so far, but I will be creating some more based off of my photoshoot this coming Friday.

design board development

Today I worked on creating my final design boards. I used a variety of images along with recycled card for my base, which I really love due to the off white colour which really fits together well with my collection. I will be adding details such as masking tape and ribbon to the background as well as watercolour splatting.

Finalising the top

For the final details of my garment I added spine like patched onto the back which I stuffed to create more texture. As well as that I added pearl detailing onto the front, back and skirt which I think really tie everything together.

The hood

For the hood, I wanted to create a ruched look along the head out of wedding dress along with a denim patchwork lining to provide stability and structure to the hood. The back will be detailed with pearl ribs and a denim patchwork spine.

Beginning my top

Today I created the base of my top/jacket. I thought that a princess line too would best fit my top look and I will soon be adding to it to make it resemble my design more.

Finalising my skirt

Today I was able to complete my skirt and finalise all of the details. I will soon be moving onto my matching top so that I am able to meet my deadline for my photo shoot which is next Friday.

Skirt development

Today I moved onto creating the skirt using individual pieces of wedding dress fabric in strips of different lengths to create a layered look. I really love the look of it so far and my next step will be to move onto sewing them on a strip and sewing them to the skirt.

Starting my skirt

Today I began creating my skirt. I started out with screen printing onto my skirt, from shorts, and then machine embroidering into my skirt with a white thread. I really quite like the look of the thread stitching.

Updated spec drawing

This is my new updated version of my spec drawing, I wanted to create a more realistic version of my garments skirt as I feel like this gives it more depth and details.
